Don't know if I have a single favorite, but one of the following make my mouth water everytime...

Ribeye, extra fatty/marbled. Medium Rare. Just a little salt & pepper. Charred on outside. Big ass baked potatoe, cheese, slathered with butter and bacon bits and chives.

Baby back ribs. No sauce. Just a little on side to dip.

Extra fatty brisket. No sauce. Just a little on side to dip.

Crab legs and lobster. Steamed with drawn butter.

Fried catfish fillets with creamy grits and soft scrambled eggs.

Fried Chicken. Slightly spicy.

Finally, a big ass moist southern style biscuit.

hmmm.. hard to pick a favourite.. but I love a nice stir fried veggie dish with shrimp served on rice.

Also give me a nice Filet cooked medium rare with grilled asparagus and a baked potato.

If I could only pick one food to eat the rest of my life that somehow had all the nutrients needed to survive by magic, Iā€™d have to choose extra crispy fries with rich dark beef gravy. No cheese please... just salt and pepper.šŸ˜

I call it 'good food'.

It is the variety in; flavors, textures, aromas and even temperatures that makes foods 'good' and my favorites of the moment change as tastes evolve over time (for example, as a child, I disliked spicy foods, now, I love them) or even at whim.

Even in the space of one meal, I might want to change up the flavors from one course to the next.

It's just all so good.

As a certified BBQologist... brisket is one of those cuts that many people do, but few really get it right imho. I've had more bad brisket than good. But man, when it is done right it is a straight up flavor orgasm. Get that nice bark on it and fat/meat just melts in your mouth. no sauce needed. The meat can stand on it's own.

Dude gets points for that bowl of butter and classy drinkware.
I still prefer King crab to dungeness, but surely wouldn't refuse either.

What is crazy is that lobster/crab used to be considered a poor person food back in the day....
