It would appear that the Democratic party and their impeachment shenanigans have done more to energize the republican base than just about anything in recent memory.

House Democrats are preparing to make President Donald Trump the third president in U.S. history to get impeached, but Republicans and Trump may be the ones who ultimately cash in ahead of the 2020 elections.

The Republican National Committee’s (RNC) deputy chief of staff, Mike Reed, told Axios that “voters are consistently expressing how they want Washington to focus on real issues,” claiming that more than 600,000 new voters have been added since impeachment began.

And in the past week, the Trump campaign and RNC took in a combined $10 million in small-dollar donations as the House Judiciary Committee passed two articles of impeachment, the report said, which added that that in late September, in the three days after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced the initial impeachment inquiry into Trump, about $15 million was raised.

With the money and the crowds during Trump's campaign rallies accross America I would bet Trump wins the next election unless something unforeseen happens.

It's insane to me that after being taxed, well meaning Americans are donating any of their money to a super rich political party that's well supported by corporate sponsorship.

Americans can see through the hipacracy of the left who have called all the founders as white slave owner racist, now they are trying to paint themselves as the same Patriots.

There certainly are good amount of Americans that are all-in for the corporatocracy.
And there certainly has never been more of a global corporatist president.

I don't know about that. Trump most likely wins, but Nixon/McGovern was a beatdown.

The most lopsided contest, though, I believe Reagan/Mondale, where RR carried 49 states.

My point is, your hyperbole discounts reality.

Don't get cocky, Kid. We need to play this election hungry, trying to get every vote we can. The Best votes are from the Dem side, they count for 2, 1 for Trump, one not from the Democratic side. This is going to be a fight. Be ready for it.

I'm out all day interacting with the public. Everyone is dismissing this impeachment as a nothing-burger.

It's only a big deal to Politicians, the Media, and the few Americans that hate President Trump. (About 1 out of every 100)

I think you’re grossly over-estimating the amount of Americans that hate President Trump.

1 out of every 100? No fricken way is it that high.

I don't doubt that, but the statement was something to the effect of "the biggest dim bloodbath in history, and that is hyperbole.

There is zero possibility that Trump carries 49 states. Thls election, as on almost every one since Bush/Clinton will come down to a handful of states, rendering states like Cali and NY irrelevant.

Tje last election was within a couple % in terms of popular vote, and I see no indication this one will be any different.

Thank you founding fathers for the wisdom of the EC.

No, what's insane would be to donate money to the party that is openly wiping their @ss with the constitution, impeaching the president on two "offenses" that aren't even crimes, after saying that any attempt by Trump to defend himself would be considered evidence of guilt, and after literally changing the rules multiple times during the hearings to avoid giving the other party any semblance of due process.

That would be an insane waste of money.

I'm not American, but an old colleague just did an excellent casual article on how people are confused about their smaller tax refunds!
