Hahaha
Now it is " generations" of punishment?
Lol
Dramatic poster is dramatic
Nice try

The kids mom is a butthole
Not the authorities

Yes. Punishing children for their parents mistakes is generational punishment. The only nation other than now apparently the US to follow such a policy is North Korea.

Mkay
You have attempted to twist this into something its not many times.
You're simply wrong.
If you don't want issues with the authorities don't make fake documents.
Pretty simple.

But you cheer on the criminals by all means.

Oh and "generational" is not your "generations".
Nice try tho.

You are advocating for the imprisonment of an American citizen because he has brown skin, indefinitely and without charge, while being tortured with starvation. Because of a crime his mother committed, and that wasn't even a crime in the US but rather in Mexico so that he could be let into their country to visit family.

And it's not even like this was an issue of needing to verify documents. At the time he was pulled over by border patrol he provided official state identification, and was still imprisoned.

This is completely and totally indefensible.

I am advocating not making fake documents.
As should everyone.
Had his mother not been a butthole there would be no issue.
You are blaming the authorities for doing their job, and making excuses for the butthole mother.

He provided the authorities with his Texas Real ID. You cannot get one of those without verifying your identity. That is the whole point of them.

Did he?
I read the npr source that said he provided fake documents made by his butthole mother.

The rewrites & bogus documentation his mother pencil whipped under falsified/exaggerated rationale exclaiming some period of 'duress' (common here in Texas with illegals) prooves gaming the system will not always pay-off; unintended members can and will bear the price of idiotcracy in scamming.

She owes her kids an apology, this nation as well for her unlawful acts including purgury on affidavits representing a minor.

There are conflicting documents and conflicting names. Stop reading fake news sources that lie. The kid could not get a passport because he had different documents in different names, and was listed as a Mexican national on some documents.

His mother also said that when her son was born, she gave him a different name, the Washington Post reported. She was never able to get her son a U.S. passport because the name on his birth certificate did not match other documents, she said.

He didn't have ID on him at the time of the stop, but after being detained others delivered his birth certificate and his Texas ID (which was a Real ID), both of which were rejected by Border Patrol because they just knew he was illegal and as such said those forms had to have been fake.

He is not the only person this has happened to. Another story just broke recently of an American citizen who was held by ICE for 2 years, under the claim they were illegal. Levy Jaen is his name. Then there's the story of the two children, both American citizens who ICE grabbed off the street and held as a ransom until their illegal mother would come out of hiding so they could deport her. Another case, Sergio Carrillo, US citizen falsely imprisoned after providing proof of citizenship despite giving ICE all the documentation they asked for. They ignored all of it.

ICE is not playing by the rules they are supposed to, and they have not been for quite some time.

Still comes back to the fact that his mother falsified his documents.
One name on the birth certificate
Another name on the id

Why won't you simply rebuke this type of criminal behavior?

When his identity was established what did ice do?
They ceased detaining him.

so prey tell how you explain the thousands, perhaps millions that go through border check points THAT DO NOT HAVE FALSIFIED DOCUMENTS and are not detained? surely some of those people are brown, are they not?

was it just coincidence that ice picked the one guy whose mom falsified his documents to detain until his identity could be verified?

Sure, his mom messed up, but children shouldn't be accountable for their parents crimes. He is an American citizen and did absolutely nothing wrong.

What is supposed to be the highest rule in ICE is that they do not touch American citizens, ever.
Of those detained by ICE, 3.3% or 1 in 33 claim to be American citizens and be able to provide documents (SSN at the minimum). Out of that, 32 of those 33 will be arrested anyways, and 2 of the 32 who are arrested anyways will be released in a timely fashion. Of the remaining 30, or 91% of those who are arrested, claim to be citizens, and have documentation to back it up they are held for weeks or months. ICE department policy is to investigate these claims within 48 hours and look for indications that the person may be a citizen. However, they are complying with the rule by simply not investigating deeply, so that they never find exculpatory evidence.

Even conservative immigration groups like CATO agree ICE is riddled with wrongful detentions of American citizens.

He wasn't carrying a fake ID though. He was carrying no ID, which is not illegal. Furthermore, legitimate documents were provided after he was detained, and ICE chose to ignore them because it didn't fit their narrative.

he is not
ice was able to verify his identity
nice try tho

Except you are simply wrong, that is 100% false and not at all what happened. I quoted what happened. He had different documents in different names and when they ran him they found documents where his mother claimed he was born in Mexico. His own mother admits he can not get a passport because of all the problems with his documents and all the different names they are under.

Out of curiosity if it was found that your ancestors immigrated to the US and falsified or illegally circumvented some aspect of their immigration that you would feel compelled to turn yourself into the authorities for punishment and indefinite detention/incarceration?

lol
ancestors
how far back?
ancestors from the fertile crescent?
out of curiosity of course.....

also what punishment?
being detained until id is established?
not really "punishment" now is it?

how far are you willing to go to justify falsifying documents?

rediculous

I am not in favor of random border checks
I am also not in favor of people making fake documents

You people attempting to twist this into something it is not to vilify ice is hilarious
any other laws you people dont like and are willing to overlook to justify your stupid politics?
