Here's one that gets me, the figures out Tuesday showed the royals spent £2.3 million on official hospitality and housekeeping, including £1.7 million on food and drink, that comes right out the taxpayer's pockets.

How can our royalty justify being able to spend that amount of monies on sheer luxuries which we pay for when there are 300,000 homeless on our streets, food banks in operation, forced austerity all over the shop and 100s of thousands of weans that live in abject poverty every day of the week?

Talk about let them eat cake ffs???!!!

I've always been a bit of a fence sitter when it comes to the Royal Family.

I can't even begin to try and justify or defend this.

We need a full system re-boot....enough is enough.

Fecking expensive figureheads if you ask me.

And not exactly the most democratic forward thinking of sorts, no matter what they claim, nor how many charities they appear to be involved with.

I just canny understand how a nation can justify spending that kind on monies on overpriced food and drink, whilst 300,000 people don't have proper accommodations nor anywhere to stay, or even sufficient food on their tables or weans bellies.

1st world nation my arse, enough is never enough for them and their ilk.
