Agreed

Hope someone decides to "return the favor" hypothetically/theoretically. In my opinion...

Whats worse, 100 temperature, or tearing children from their parents arms in the middle of the night?

They created irrepairable psychological/ emotional harm to those poor kids.

This is what makes me not want government involved health care.

We have government involved healthcare and this would not happen here, because it costs nothing to go to the hospital at 2am to get your kid checked if you choose to do so.

Did you miss the part about the parents deciding not to take the child to the hospital because the fever had decreased? Where you live are you in the habit of using the hospital emergency room, despite needing to, just because it's free to do so?

Sounds like a fun night.

Then what was your point in telling us all at least 2 times that "this could never happen" where you are from because you have free healthcare?

Are you saying that you had no reason to tell us that and it was actually not related to the OP?

Or else, please explain to me how it was relevant to the discussion.

Because the op mentioned cost, until I was aware the child had not been vaccinated and that being the more logical explanation as to why this was escalated the way it was, I supposed it possible the high cost of going to the hospital for a check up could have been why the parents chose not to follow the doctors advice.

I was not speaking in absolutes, it was a hypothesis.

But I can tell you what would happen if ANYONE kicked my door down at 1 am in the morning.......

You would have been killed by the cops in riot gear if you tried anything.

LoL maybe, probably.....but anyone kicks down my door at 1am in the morning I CAN tell you they get shot....what happens after that doesnt matter much does it?

Wouldnt be the first time i was racked out of sleep by gunfire and pandemonium..........

I totally agree with this.... in fact I can see people waiting later to get retaliation for kidnapping their children. I can see it being a Dallas shoot-up all over again.

Okay, thank you for explaining that to me. It seemed as if you were implying that the family only refused to take the child because of cost. And I don't believe cost had anything to do with their decision.

Exactly, this is where I'm at with this. 100 degrees and declining is absolutely nothing. SWAT team inbound!

Bunch of damned Nazi's.

I hate Nazi's.

But, but, nazis are "right-wing"... yeah, yeah... I can't, and don't want to argue the socialist policies of the nazis, but I have hundreds of left-wing scholars, and others, who have been part of historical revisionism who tell me that the nazis are right-wing, and consensus wins over logical arguments pointing the policies the nazis implemented were socialist... So there... I win, nazis are right-wing because consensus... /sarcasm

Or they did not follow the advice because the fever had decreased and there was no longer any point.

When you get sick from a bacterial or virus infection the body naturally raises it's temps to help fight off the infection as well as the T and B cells. I lost count how many times I was sick with a temp growing up, it's a natural occurring thing. The most I have ever been sick was with the Taiwan flu. Boy let me tell you, it feels like death is nearing. I had a 103-104 temp easy. You go to doctor what do they say? Go home Rest, push liquids, take Tylenol, cold cloth, shower/bath etc. Rinse repeat. I was nearly to sick to the go. Depending on what you have they treat you with meds if possible. Always going to the doctor is wise to do in Identifying the problem and treating it. Beating down someones door is ridiculous. Can't they just continue to knock. ring the doorbell, make a phone call.? Everyone wants to do the right thing and be a hero. A common cold can make you have a 100 temp. They did more harm than good making a big scary ordeal waking the sick child, crying etc and moving him/her around like luggage by some goon dressed in body armor. I suppose they want to try and take the child from the parents too permanently too right?

They took all the children. This is more about them not getting vaccinations imo.

In your opinion? Is it possible that authorities got to the home and found that the conditions were a threat to the children's wellbeing? CPS had already been involved with the family so there were clearly pre-existing 'issues'. Bad parents maybe?

And one last time, when the healthcare providers last saw the child it was a 105 (not 100deg) temp. That is life threatening. IF the child's temp dropped that doesn't mean he/she is out of danger. What caused the 105 temp? Temperatures cycle during the day --- they go up and down. It's important to determine why the 105 temp and treat the underlying cause.

And locked outside they found that how? They got the warrant and were planning on removing the child PRIOR to arriving.

I see no indication in the story CPS was already involved. And one last time, IF the child was no longer febrile then the parents are perfectly alright not going to the hospital and simply monitoring the child to ensure the fever does not come back.

There is ZERO evidence put forth that the child was in any danger at that moment, in fact getting a warrant necessitates there is no danger.
