Just saw this on twitter : WOW heavy artillery fire and indiscriminate firing on civilian targets!!!! Holy crap i hope they'll be OK A lot of civilians taking to the streets fighting back against the Venezuelan National Guard near Brazilian & Colombian borders

Per the same twitter account, it has been determined to be drills, not firing on the population. No, it is not indiscriminate firing on civilians.

you haven't obviously watched the videos of seen the pics of cars being turned over & burning in the streets these are NOT Drills

Serious drill if it is one. Tracer fire across buildings and burning vehicles. Tracer is generally 1 in 3 up to 5 rounds on the belt. So they're pumping some lead across the city.

Great potential for people to get hit.

Happening now in #Venezuela! Protestors and civilians are flipping over jeeps and slashing tires from the Venezuelan National Guards and lighting some of them on fire! Close at the #Colombia borders. In order that they cannot not mobilize for tomorrow. From the source on the ground.

Protesters do this all the time in France, turn over the vehicles set them on fire. It’s typical that doesn’t mean security forces done that.

Armoured vehicles from the Venezuelan National guard mobilizing firing an uknow round out the barrel round while driving, while pursuing protestors in #SantaElenaDeUairen, bolivar in #Venezuela near the border of #Brazil.

Well, except for the tracer rounds.........pretty sure the civilians arent doing that.....they cant even afford to buy bread

Prayers are with the people, I hope they have enough to fight back, but I doubt it.........theres going to be a lot of bloodshed tonight.

Well, there was this from the Al Jazeera News. Apparently happened yesterday.

["Venezuelan troops kill one in first bloodshed over aid
Venezuelan troops killed at least one person and wounded 12 others on Friday near the Brazilian border, witnesses said, the first bloodshed linked to opposition efforts to bring aid into the South American country against the wishes of embattled President Nicolas Maduro.

Friday's violence broke out as indigenous leaders in southern Venezuela said they had attempted to stop a military convoy heading toward the border with Brazil, believing the soldiers were attempting to block the entrance of foreign aid as per Maduro's order.

The convoy entered the indigenous village of Kumarakapay anyway, opening fire to clear the way and killing a woman, Zoraida Rodriguez, according to community leaders Richard Fernandez and Ricardo Delgado.]"

Not looking good down there. Looks like it has begun. It was only a matter of time. Hopefully things will happen fast and not turn into a Syria.

And military drills in the middle of the night while your country is on the brink of civil war? Those bullets we're obviously bouncing off of a building. It's not looking good.

Does anybody know if Mike pence is in Columbia at the moment? Heard he was going down there with some muscle, just not sure if he made it yet.
