Just wanting to note... two days ago my fiancé and I were driving down I-24 from Murfreesboro, TN to Smyrna, TN. We smelt the strongest sulfur smell we’ve ever experienced! It lasted for a few miles. It was awful!!
He began to get a terrible headache and I had pains erupting in my stomach. We drove back down the same highway ten min later and smelled nothing. I asked around on social media, no one smelled anything. One of my friends messaged me this morning said she has smelled a light smell off and on last two weeks, and notified me of fish die offs in the river.

May not have any meaning.. but it may.

I sure miss the old days on Quake Watch!!!

That is weird for sure. Do you know how far the fish die offs were from where you could smell the sulfur? I wonder if there has been any methane, or reports of dead birds? What river would that be? Any industry in the area? Probably not if the smell is unusual. Made me remember the report of a volcano erupting in the area when the New Madrid quake happened! An area to watch for sure!

There are small to midlevel things going on that make me wonder. The warm water pool appearing inside Kilauea, activity around the Yellowstone area, another 5.0 in Cali, swarm in the PNW. If I remember right, there was a 4. something on the Mississippi River this week too.

Keeping one eye open!

Do you think it was actual lightening? Were there storms in the area?
High or low altitude? In the direction of the earthquake?
Do you think that it could have been related to earthquake activity?

I have only seen lighting with no sound once before years ago and it was weird like this time. It seemed close, the strikes looked close the kind that should be count 10 to thunder often just flashes of light through the clouds right above me and yes out to sea, but I am about 100 miles from Bandon. We didn't feel it here.
it went on so long i had to give up watching to sleep.

Interesting! I know they sometimes see colors in the sky in the day the lightning at night may be the same.

The quake was not huge, hope this does not mean more to come but we've been having quit a row!
