A pattern is starting to become clear with forecaster and MSM discussions of these hurricanes.

Before the hurricanes hit land, they always breathlessly hype how HUGE the storm is...even showing shots from the space station. Makes people think an 800 mile wide vacuum cleaner is on its way. MSM/Forecasters compete with each other to find descriptions that generate the greatest raw fear amongst viewers/listeners.

After it becomes clear the doomsday catastrophe didn't happen, they say, "You have to keep in mind, the strongest winds and storm surge are within the eyewall. That eyewall is only 10 to 15 miles wide."

It's no wonder 20% of the population didn't evacuate the Hurricane Warning areas this week. There didn't seem to be catastrophic wind and storm surge damage from Florence last month either.

I don't agree and blame the 20% of people that didn't evacuate on the arrogance of mankind vs any sort of knowledge.

Also go tell the folks of Mexico Beach, the place that took landfall, how Michael wasn't a doomsday scenario.
