Volcanic activity can lead to cooling if enough crap is thrown high enough into the atmosphere. Earthquakes, not so much effect on climate.

That doesn't sound good. What about the severe cold in the UK and USA along with other Countries over the past 10 years or so? Or the freak snow storms in Egypt? I'm on the fence with this i'll wait to see how the statistics fair.

There is a common misconception that global warming means that nowhere will ever be cold.

It would seem to be a result of ignorance. Willful or otherwise.

I've been interested in weather for a very long time. Climate, not as long, but for quite a while.

I read a lot. The science part. The politics not so much.

Something I`ve wondered about for a while is if all the paving and concrete we`ve put down over the last century contributes to warming.If you walk from a grassy area onto a parking lot,for example,you feel a difference itemperature.And we have covered a lot of earth with paved surfaces.Maybe someone has studied this?Just curious about it since as far as I know theres never been any research on the effects.
