Altitude for speed.
Speed for altitude.

Energy management.

You don't ignore one threat to focus on another.

Strange how f15s were able to intercept within minutes(or "greet him" as the local news put it last night, lol), yet on 9/11 no luck. Very strange.

Strange how last night, the flight was within a few miles of a radar transmitter that was tracking him, and he was telling the controllers what he was doing and in general where he was, but on 9/11 they didn't.

So did we come to a consensus yet....plane guy, or tank guy?

Here is tank guy

Here is plane guy....with audio.

I gotta go with plane guy. The commentary is fantastic, he stacked a $40 million plane AND he started a forest fire. Its the holy trifecta of offing one's self.

Plane guy by a mile!
Tank guy, meh, easy to figure out how to drive it in a few minutes, armoured protection so LEO's couldn't get to him, slow, no danger to the guy...lame as # compared to plane guy and his barrel roll.
Plane guy only wanted to kill himself as well, so he burned a few trees, but didn't wreck private property of regular citizens like tank guy did.
Gold medal for plane guy, participation medal for tank guy, maybe a gold star sticker for wrecking the RV, but no place on the podium compared to plane guy.

Agreed. Pulling out of that dive was epic. Whats the bet those planes start turning up at airshows doing barrel rolls.

Strange how you are doing what "Awakened Minds" always do which is cherry pick info to fit whatever narrative you are trying to tell.

I wonder how he figured out the radio, unless it was already tuned to
ATC

Ground crews have to use the radio when doing normal daily procedures, like towing, or if they have to taxi for maintenance. Radios aren't hard to figure out and frequencies are easy to find online, as well as in the cockpit if the airport charts are handy.

I wondering why support let him sign out the keys to the jet in the first place.

A lot of airlines just keep them over the sun visor so maintenance doesn't have to tromp all over the airport to find them.

I thought they stopped that. They used to be stored with the Prop Wash.

They kept dropping them in the Flight Line that was kept with the Prop Wash. You know what a pain in the ass that stuff is when you unroll it, and once the keys are in it that's the only option.
edit on 8/12/2018 by Zaphod58 because: (no reason given)

So many good ones. Echo checks in the intakes. Blowing on pitot tubes to check the ground speed indictors. NDI checks on your boots. Sent guy to the hospital for their pap smear. Ahhhh, the good ole days.

It was more fun when everyone was in on it and you would see guys walking back with their boots in hand, with a red tag hanging off them.
