Do you even know the history of white American vrs black America? Here's a hint, its not very black friendly. The states literally had a civil war over slavery over slavery of African descendants. And the nation needed a literal million+ March to bring awareness to oppression, which wasn't even more than 70 years ago. Less than two generations.

In general. How wide are the sidewalks in America?

I’ve only been to New York and they are generally wide enough for 3 people to walk on whilst barely grazing each other.

In my area of the U.K. We are brought up to give the elderly or infirm the extra space that they need or to ask if they need assistance, not hit them with bricks.

Technically, the brick was in the .0001% however, it appears there was a choice.

Just because the history isn't good doesn't mean the future has to be just as bad. I'm hispanic, but much of that is native american blood. Should I hate white people all because of what happened to my apache/hopi ancestors??

xBWOMPx is completely right, everything regarding racism was getting better. Sure, it was a slow process, but it was getting better. That all did change during Obama's reign. There was no need for any of it to get worse, but here we are, more racist than ever. The only difference is, the racism is more on the other foot. Black people can't be racist, all the while white people have to walk on eggshells around everyone that's not a straight white male.

Yes, im sure I know better then you about my country's history and how the republic party fought the Democrats (the south) to end slavery and NO, the two party's NEVER flip floppied! I am so tired of hearing that crap. I understand about slavery, every nation at some point in time had enslavement, America was the most recent in history. How long do people need to keep beating on this issue? NOBODY today played a roll in the civil war or slavery TODAY. What does my statement have to do with something that occurred 170 years ago. Why are people SO mad at the people of today for what happened to the native Americans 150 years ago when nobody bats an eye at what the Spaniards did to the natives in Mexico, worse if anything, they were so ashamed they tried to wipe the Mayan's out of history! EVERY nation at one point owned people and every nation at one point had blood drawn for it's land! please tell me how America is the icing on the cake out of ALL of humanities violent history and why we need to hold on to it and stay angry rather then learning from it and moving forward!?!?!? Why aren't people angry at Africa for their ancestors for selling their own kind? You wanna be mad at the buyer but not at the seller who could have not done that at all. To this day Africa still enslaves their own kind and nobody cares!

Ironically enough, it was a black woman, black people, who attacked this elderly man. But I don't see that from CNN or any other fake news media.

the lady should be tried in court by a jury of her peers. if the evidence supports a guilty verdict in assault then so be it.

at 90 years old, it's possible he might die of his injuries.

The lady in question, I use the term lady loosely, needs to be found, and charged.

Heinous about covers it. Despicable applies, as well. Cowardly, too. Any younger, and I doubt anything happens. Harsh words maybe, but that'd be about it.

90 year old man. To reach that age is worthy of respect for that alone, regardless of other accomplishments.

90 year old man...that would bring out the knight in slightly tarnished armour in me. I despise bullies with every fibre of my being.

heck i was taught to respect the elderly, if they were walking down the street and the sidewalk wasn't wide enough for both to pass easily, stand aside and let them pass first. heck if it looks like they may be having a problem, see if you could be of assistance. if they accidentally bumped into us it was our fault for not moving out of their way!!!
we lost alot when we lost the extended families... can't help but think that respect for the elderly is one of the things we lost.
