But a fisherman holding up his catch is ok? A deer hunter posing with a buck ok?

As a hunter myself I can say that doing this is both childish and silly. They might as well curtsy.

Why? They pay a #load to do this. People take photos as mementos.

Until mankind learns to live by natural law, nothing will change.

Evolution IS natural law. Survival of the fittest. That's why we are the top of the food chain. Giraffes will survive us or not. That's nature.

As to the vegan tripe...whatever.

Yet you'd support culling a bull giraffe?

I mean, this bad ass bull killed 3 other giraffes... Survival of the fittest, evolution in practice.

Maybe we shouldn't be involved in conservation efforts when a species is growing in number, it's made out that these are anything but rare. No need to cull.

They grow because conservation that includes hunts

I seriously wish some of you would do some actual research

Same reason we hunt elk here state wide every year, and because of conservation and hunting the herds have grown.....

Christ the ignorance

Not thrilling at all for me when I have a gun.

It is to easy.

Hell the deer that I hunt don't even run from people...

But my buddys pose with their bucks like it was some test of skill or strength to bring it down.

Did she hunt it legally?
Yes?
Than what's the point?

Sorry bleeding hearts if you want to blame someone blame the corrupt government that's willing to sell off it's natural resources like this. More manufactured outrage...

I get pleasure and pride from every kill.... I worked for it.....

You don't find it easy to hunt with a rifle?

I just can't feel proud when I do something a 10 year old boy can easily do....

I hunt with a bow and the whitetails typically aren't to curious.

I've also no inclination to pose with my harvest. Now if I were to hunt a rare rack, then maybe.

I like the meat mainly and the conservation aspect. Car/deer accidents are very common here.

Again not at all..... And I don't know what kind of canned hints you're on..,.. But mine are far from easy... Nor would a 10 year old be sent out alone to do them..... Not in this wilderness

Give her a 6inch blade and dump her in the ocean to hunt a great white, that should be a thrill for her!!
Hunting to eat is one thing, hunting so you can take a pic of a dead giraffe?

Moral outrage from the masses whom consume meat handled for them by someone else, generally factory farms where the critters are shoulder to shoulder in cages many not ever seeing the sun not for one minute of their entire existence.

Now if tech can be invented that can take a small building and grow enough vegetables to feed and keep all of us healthy, I would become a vegetarian today.

Rather, if they could make veggies to taste and have the texture of meat I'd be all in. They lie though. Beefsteak tomatoes are neither beef nor steak.

Yep call bs on you being a hunter or outdoorsman

lol. I live outside for weeks during the summer. lol

You can only hunt deer at certain times of the year here and only in specific zones.

And you can only hunt using specific weapons at specific times.
In about a week or two it will be archery season where I hunt.

Big difference in a beautiful waterfall and a dead creature wouldn't you agree?

Unless you find dead animals to be beautiful.

I have thought about doing this just to give myself some kind of challenge.

Do you find it more challenging to hunt with a bow versus a rifle?

What kind of bow do you use?

Well you called my bluff....

Gotta give you kudos on that.....

I scout for months before my hunts... Typically take a week at a time in the sawtooths or just south for our hunts.... Not easy at all.... Fun.... Damn right...

But knocking a big bull elk down in a valley you've been tracking for days.... And then having to quarter it and get it back up the mountain....

Yep usually pretty happy and proud of it
