There, we got through the entire 1980s without offending anybody.

But it's never too late to start.

Movies had to be back by noon, but then there was the whole nutmeg incident.

An anti-drug book from the library and it was telling people not to trip on nutmeg.

So what did we do?

Mum, dad going to the store for some nutmeg.

See? They're finally learning how to cook.

Yeah, you can't blame Trump for it.

You can't give him credit for it.

Can't even get a video of crying children for it.

This thread is destined to die. I don't mind, though. Sometimes it's nice to think and talk about things other than what the Media wants us to think and talk about. It's a good habit to get into, even if it's just a silly little topic.

Millions of years ago, life was squirming around evolving into more and more complex creatures. Eventually, mammals emerged, and from them, bipeds. In the thousands of years since, a small part of those early animals spread it's way through time to become my ancestors. A single trait, a bloodline, separate just as everyones ancestry is theirs alone, grew over the millennia to eventuate into my father. He gave birth to an only son. Me. I am without child, and will never have a son. Effectively, all of the history of my bloodline, from those first emerging forms of life, ends with me.

I am the destroyer of an entire genetic history.

The problem here, of course, is that random people don't give random fathers anything for fathers day. Their kids do. Who exactly is supposed to give nonfather gifts? Everyone? Is that like a "thank you for not breeding" day? Just not getting it.

Well why can't we have cards and stores with bouquets dedicated to non-fathers day?

Whatever you do, don't add turmeric and black pepper to that nutmeg milkshake. Cytochrome P450 will then not be able to stop all that myristicin and safrole from doing things in your liver.
