A lovely day here, and I am having a wonderful morning. Perfect mood for writing , but I’m not sure what to take my storyline as I’m not sure what
sort of imminent danger the Shedlands are in. Guess I’ll just continue where I left off and hope for the best 😏.
As Sheye walked away from the beautiful stained glass cottage River and Jack had built , she heard the door open behind her, and River
shout out to her, to wait. Sheye turned to see River quickly scurrying towards her.
“Here “ said River, “take this”, and she held out a Rosary with beads shimmering in deep red towards Sheye. Sheye was at a loss for words, as
she knew this rosary was very special to River. “Please” urged River, “ my mother would want you to have it , especially during these turbulent
times.”
Sheye knew River and Jack, and Riverbabe often prayed with the Rosary beads , and even Flutterby the pixie had began to join in. There were many
different spiritual beliefs within the Shedlands and as far as Sheye and River could understand, everyone tried to respect the different opinions and
beliefs of others, though at times there were heated debates pertaining certain issues. These were healthy debates and usually resulted in more of a
mutual understanding and respect for their differences. Sheye gratefully took the rosary beads from River, and a tiny tear slipped from her eye, as
she choked out the words “ thank you”.
Where as some thought the rosary prayers to be dull and repetitive, Sheye knew the power of medidating on its Sacred and divine mysteries. The rosary
would help as it promised to give the virtues of faith , hope, love and courage to those who prayed it with a humble and contrite heart. Sheye put the
beautiful rosary around her neck, and hugged River again.
“ I have nothing to give you in return “ said Sheye sadly. Looking to the ground she bent over and chose a rock from the pebbled path and gently
put it in River’s palm. “ something to remember the Shedlands with , should you ever decide to leave .” With those parting words Sheye turned ,
tears streaming down her face as she held unto the crucifix of the Rosary. Yes .. she would pray for peace to descend unto the Shedlands and she would
never give up on being a prayer warrior for noble purposes.
