I thought of that. I was thinking that she could have done short excursions onto land. Maybe build a couple of Igloos to stash some sea lions in. Yum yum.

It sure looks like a 500 year old.

Amazing.

Quick! Get some humans over there to euthanize it! It's the only humane thing to do! Save the sea creatures from old age!

It was sarcasm.
Unfortunately, it is what us stupid humans do. Kill things. No matter how much we could learn from them.

Because, basically, over all.... we suck!

Ironically enough, kill things is also what sharks are perfectly adapted to do.

Sharks don't pretend be stewards of the earth and sea. Humans do.

Meh, I find the steward thing to be overrated. I don't however have to pretend to be fascinated by it.

LOL I know that, it is what they are built to do.

But us.... we have choice. Most of the time, we make a bad one.

So you don't think humans have a responsibility to care for the planet, its organisms, or the environment?

Guess humans should just do whatever they want willy-nilly whether it's genetically modified, endangered, 500 years old, or whatever.

Okay! Good to know.

I didn't say that either.

Sheesh, people are so binary these days.

And that's the problem with dialogue.

The word "overrated" doesn't leave much room for multiple interpretations.

It is fascinating to think about animals that live inconceivably longer than humans--I just wish humans didn't have an obsession trying to control and play god every chance they get.

Usually people who got that far are down the road of preservationism which generally means we should seal it all up in a cellophane wrapper and wall it off so that no one can ever experience it or enjoy it.

I prefer conservationism which means we seek to preserve it so that people can experience it and enjoy it for themselves.

Hey, I've got an idea!

Let's start feeding people, en mass, to the sharks!

Shark-o-cide for the masses.
