Human Rights Accountability Act passed by Congress last year

Uhm, I'm very weary of nicely labeled acts. Patriot act comes to mind. Plus last years congress would have been the swamp.

Then not to mention the lack of press coverage and executive order passed near the holidays? UHM not sure about this one even before reading it , it sounds like its following the typical congress protocal when about to F the public.


Would be interested to read up more on this before claiming it as a good thing.

Building on the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act passed by Congress last year, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order (Order) today declaring a national emergency with respect to serious human rights abuse and corruption around the world and providing for the imposition of sanctions on actors engaged in these malign activities.
