Before the Obama administration approved a controversial deal in 2010 giving Moscow control of a large swath of American uranium, the FBI had gathered substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering designed to grow Vladimir Putin’s atomic energy business inside the United States, according to government documents and interviews.

Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court documents show.

They also obtained an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill

Well it appears that hillary, holder, obama, et al were well aware of the corruption of Russian officials when they sold them uranium.

Maybe the fact that these Russians were apparently bribing hillary with millions of dollars encouraged them to look the other way.

But I guess this is nothing compared to the Russians using Pokemon go to influence the election!

That further explains Hillary's endless claims that "The Russians did it!", and Obama and Hillary's continued "resist" activism, and the MSM continually pushing this "Russian Collusion" narrative. Perhaps Trump is guilty on some level for that, but it is obvious that Hillary and Obama should be the ones being looked at

Not shocked....and it's already been proven Uranium left the US....again...not shocked.

Sad that a real story with real Russian influence gets buried.

The big story is that the FBI had the information... and the deal went through.

What did Obama know and when did he know it???

All they have to do is keep accusing of Russia of "X", and it'll keep people from looking at what they were REALLY involved in...

He'd probably say he didn't know anything until he saw it on TV in the news.

So it begs the question people.

Why would Russia hack the election?

When they were making money hand over fist with the other side.

Answer they didn't.

Ideologically, the right is averse to change. They like things to stay the same. Sometimes this can cause problems where the status quo is a bit messed up already.

The left is the opposite. They seek out novelty and change. This is classed in political science as "progressiveness" but doesn't necessarily have to entail something being progressive in the plain English form of the word. This can cause issues where the status quo is NOT messed up and we start seeing change for changes sake.

You can see this really clearly with the different types of campaign strategies -

Obama - "Hope and Change"
Trump - "Make America Great Again" (let's go back to the old ways).

Anyway, on topic -

The above description is why, 10 years ago Assange was the champion of the left and the Russians were potential future friends and now Assange and Russia are the boogeymen.

When people are always seeking out something new, it's really easy to sway them. Just offer them a new thing to be outraged about.

There's very little point in trying to tell these guys they are doing the very things they have held others accountable for. In 5/10 years time, they will switch sides again and tell you you're mad for believing that actually, the Russians are in fact, just.... the Russians. They aren't evil, they're also not saints.

But to the Democrats, they are a talking point, a means to get votes. Nothing more, nothing less.

People need to decide on what their own values are and stick to them, rather than waiting for the government to tell them how to think.

Sorry for the barely on topic rant.

Maybe if a real investigation is started now, we will find out if the old bag did say that backstage after the debate.

Funny how a corporation, RUSNANO, who's head is directly appointed by Putin himself, is allowed to build RUSNANO USA during sanctions, and allowed Podesta to have the head of RUSNANO in the US appointed as a board member for Joule....crazy how it all keeps coming back right?

Crazy that uranium that isn't supposed to leave the US ends up exploding on a worker in Canada when transporting drums of yellow cake right?

I Love how the Clinton Camp said No big deal to a Russian company having control over a bunch of US uranium production yet at the same time every Russian Oligarch is Part of the Putin Machine colluding with everyone not a Democrat or involved in Uranium.

It must be hard to juggle those thoughts at the same time.

Yeah...my guess has been he's actually on board to cover tracks for those involved in actual Russian collusion from his time as Director...when you actually look at the whole picture it is very clear and impossible to deny that there were some really shady deals with the previous administration.

How might this affect the Russia investigation f President Trump?
Since the Director of the FBI let this slip by,,, obviously covered it up... and is now investigating the POTUS for what he covered up?

They have quite the web, when you see Podesta's son in law standing next to the podium at the pressers that the sheriff is holding in Las Vegas.
They have their fingers in everything. How do you clean up a dirty group like that?
