North Korea is really playing with fire by denying any further diplomatic overtures sent their way...

A North Korean official reaffirmed Pyongyang's commitment to developing a long-range intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching "all the way to the East coast of the mainland US," on Monday, telling CNN that the rogue nation is currently not interested in diplomacy with the US until it achieves that goal.
Full Article: www.cnn.com...

Add this statement to the breaking off of any current diplomacy talks...

North Korea's deputy U.N. ambassador says the situation on the Korean peninsula "has reached the touch-and-go point and a nuclear war may break out any moment."

He said this year North Korea became a "full-fledged nuclear power which possesses the delivery means of various ranges, including the atomic bomb, H-bomb and intercontinental ballistic rockets."

So..North Korea does NOT want to talk, but they DO want to continue moving towards becoming a nuclear super-power. President Trump says that the U.S. will not allow that to happen.

WHAT''s THE NEXT LOGICAL STEP?

Precision drone strike/bunker buster. Pretty big target lol

Seriously though I do not understand why the US can not strike first; these are special circumstances. Any country that is preparing to start a nuclear war should be met with 'fire and fury'.

The next logical step is to remove Trump from the whitehouse, if not put Kim and Trump in a boxing ring wearing sumo suits and let them flab it out.

They've said it 823 times in the past, I see no reason for the 824th to be any different.

Yeah! Let's get Obama back in and just give Kim some more money to appease him and shut him up for a few more years.

Let Kim do whatever he damn well pleases. He's only trying to put his country in a position to where they wont be messed with by the Western powers.

We don't need to take any action unless we have 100% certainty that they are going to act on their threats.

Just trying to get this straight.

That Trump may pre-emptively start a nuclear war?

Exactly.

NK just wants to be in a position in which they can take advantage of a mutually-assured destruction standpoint.

Obamas policy was the same as Trumps policy.

An idiot can see strong arming them does not work.

Tunnels. They have them hidden everywhere like Afganistan only more, deeper, stronger

After they've had 50+ years of digging huge deep monsters...it was even thought they have tunneled 50-some miles UNDER S. Korea with nukes UNDER Seoul.

I think the rats would scrambled under the zillions of mountains they've got...

Only difference between then and now is that they are likely capable of doing it thanks to past administrations.

A child pointing a water pistol and threatening to shoot is meaningless. A child pointing a loaded gun is a different matter.

Same with Iran.

Having a nuclear weapon changes the game. One could argue it's a deterrent against aggression.

That said, NK talks a lot of #, and they well know they would be toast if they did anything. Unless they have a truly crazy leader who doesn't care. Or unless we do.

What would you describe as 100% certainly. What would your redline be?

I don't understand why Trump refuses to do a pre-emptive strike on North Korea. He should start with their EMP satellites and then proceed to decimating their nuclear facilities. Kim has made it clear over and over that he will NOT talk and that all the sanctions and diplomacy will just not work.

The more the US talks, and the more sanctions it gives out, the more time Kim is given to further develop his WMD's. Not just his nukes. Everyone wants to talk about his nukes, but he also has a large stockpile of chemical and biological weapons.

The US is giving out sanctions like candy, and they're not working. It's a stalling tactic, imho. Trump just can't decide what to do.

I say do a pre-emptive strike before Kim nukes us or uses an EMP satellite, etc.

What in the heck is Trump waiting for? An invite?

If your neighbor—or anyone for that matter—says he's going to come to your house and shoot you, does that give you the right to go to his house and shoot him first?

Deterrence is at the heart of MAD theory.

And I have faith that the people surrounding Trump would not let him nuke NK.
