as long as they are on the company clock they have no freedom of speech just like every other working American.

Is that in the Constitution?

the constitution has nothing to do with who private companies hire, not everything that is legal is in the constitution.that`s why America no longer has a " justice" system anymore we have a "legal " system.

I hear that the NFL owners meeting today was productive, whatever that means.

It means no one came to a new agreement. Another way to phrase that is, no changes planned.

the NFL will side with their profit margins everytime, when player protests adversely affect the nfl profit margins the nfl change the rules or start enforcing their rules.

It's pretty complicated for them. They dont want to deal with a strike and their numbers aren't down enough beyond the projected fall off of sports in general to enforce it.

The players are also sub contracted with specific complex individual contracts the NFL can't just change without teams having to pay the players out.

One thing's for certain. If you cause this kind of trouble, you shouldn't expect a pay raise the next time your contract is negotiated. Nor should you expect other owners/teams to want you.

Works that way with employers out here in the real world too.

They are in the real world. Every single player worked their tail off to get there and they are the best at what they do. Sounds like jealousy.

But yes there is a line between talent and noise.

If it's Tom Brady they will put up with a lot.

I don't follow football closely enough to know man-by-man, if disrespectful players are worth their keep, or not.

It depends like any job right. And not everybody thinks like you. Not even most people do.

If you have the best physicist say making the bomb before the nazis do you think his 30 second protest would get him fired?

How many of the top-tier NFL players are "taking a knee", in disrespect? Do you have an idea?

I have no idea.

I also don't care.

I have never been to an NFL game and haven't ever seen the anthem played at college games.

The dod didnt sink millions into recruitment in college football.
