My wife and I got 2 pair of glasses at a local state park.
We saw on the news this morning that all of them have been recalled.
So we're using welding helmets.
If anyone else tries this, be warned, the helmet must go to shade 14.

There are a lot of dangerous fakes being sold for insane prices.

Welding helmets always remind me of that movie with a serial killer wearing one (can't remember the name)

Today would be a welding helmet wearing serial killers chance of getting away with murder.... scuse the crap pun...

Well cloud cover and the marine layer spoiled it here for us on the west coast, crummy pictures.

But the real danger is all these glasses out in the days and weeks to come.

People will stare at the sun and then remove the glasses, not being aware of how dilated their retinas have become.


I did have Gunther stare at it for me however. We all chipped in and got him the most adorable seeing-eye-dog you have ever seen!

Well except for Gunther.

And it's not really a dog. Just an angry ferret.

We're sending him out in traffic later.

At least have a heart and give him a cane before sending him out into the traffic!

Don't worry.
DB gives Gunther a caning every day.
He seems to like it.

I wish this was more well known. There is a size limit of 2MB on your photos. If you try to upload a file bigger it does not go (and you do not get a warning or anything either).

It is like any other upload. You have to be logged in. Hit the Down Arrow next to the "Logout" icon. Select, "Upload" and go to your uploads page. From there you "browse" to the folder containing your pics (eta: It is "Select file"). Select one you would like to upload. You then hit the little cloud icon next to the "Browse" button to upload. When done, the screen refreshes with your new photo. Select it to grab the BBcode to post in a reply!

Not hard but if you don't know the size limit... very frustrating.
