What is the pregnant Africa-American woman with her raised fist supposed to represent?

The raised fist is predominant in communist symbols.

Sure. But that doesn't answer my question.

I mean seriously, if someone is going to commission a statue commemorating women, at least do it right. I think there is one in Kansas that shows a pioneer woman with her children. It is properly done and cast and is supposed to show the strength of the settler women.

Given that I have an ancestor who got off a train 8 months pregnant with two children around 5 give or take and then had to walk to the family land grant in the middle of Kansas summer, about 10 miles, where the was *nothing* waiting for her to meet her husband who was coming up from elsewhere, I think that is an apt statue of pioneer strength in the women.

But this is just a gesture of ... I don't know what. Certainly not on par with the statue in "Ozymandias."

I would imagine the loss of any sort of objectivity when it comes to history.

This hiding of the horrors of the past in any forms is juvenile and shows the lack of local leadership. In other words there are no adults in any capacity having their hands in this.

If they TRUELY want to break this perpetuating cycle of bs make a WELL crafted statue depicting unity across all ethnicities not just tearing down a couple white guys to throw a paper mache pregnant black woman..

It's a symbol of overcoming a perceived imminent white supremacist threat of wiping out black populations, the irony is the Left has been promoting and implementing planned parenthood to cull their numbers and they fully comply with pride and joy at the voting booth year after year to their real oppressors.

Trump comes along and threatens to pour money into the inner cities to bring jobs and prosperity and the Left panics at the prospect of losing their slave vote.

Thank you for explaining. It makes sense. It melting away in rain is pretty symbolic if you think about it.
