The guy who helped President Donald Trump write his seminal book "The Art of the Deal" said the former reality TV star will soon leave the White House on his own accord. In a series of tweets Wednesday, Tony Schwartz—who co-authored the 1987 book that helped define the real estate magnate's public image—said he thought the walls were closing in on Trump and he would soon leave office in an attempt to save face.

Later he wrote in a series of three tweets that Trump's end would come before the year was out. "The circle is closing at blinding speed. Trump is going to resign and declare victory before Mueller and congress leave him no choice," Schwartz tweeted. "Trump's presidency is effectively over. Would be amazed if he survives till end of the year. More likely resigns by fall, if not sooner."

Trump has a chance to hold on the the presidency. He needs to win back respect and support of the majority of the US citenzery. A great start would be to stop insulting his own party members and business leaders on twitter.

nah.. Trump is a horrible person. If you research him you'll see. He's that Uncle that you DON"T invite over for Christmas or the 4th of July. He's the Boss you move departments to get away from. He's the team member that doesn't know what team work is. He's the father of your friends daughter that you don't let get in the car with. He's the landlord that rakes in every cent and forces you to move to a different location. That's trump.

You're correct and we saw it in this election. Instead of voting for someone else people voted for the two worst choices Hillary and Trump. LOL We're doomed if people still can't see this.

Well, even if the polls are off by 8 points or more, the fact is, still the majority of people do not like trump as president. So yeah, The U.S. populace would agree. Do I really need to post poll results? No, you know what they have been.

he would soon leave office in an attempt to save face.

Not sure how quitting the biggest job in politics less than a year since he started would be saving face , Of the many things I think Donald Trump is a quitter isn't one of them.

He started this crazy boat ride I think he'll stick with it until he is removed.

Interesting interview with Tony Schwartz and his insight into Trump from May this year.

I believe Tony Schwartz has been wrong with his "what's going with Trump" assessments this year.

That being said, several things are pointing to V.P. Pence preparing to take over.

The majority of the US populace didn't even vote for Trump, much less does the majority approve of his actually doing the job so far so...

His approval rating is lower at this point in a first term than literally every President going all the way back to Eisenhower.

Only if he knows they're going to nail him with something and by making a run for it he hopes they'll just give up.

Pathetic.

You have been on here long enough to know how not to be fooled by media, shame on you for falling for it.

I disagree.

While I myself do not like the guy. I was willing to give him a chance to sink or swim.

Unfortunately he's just not sinking but dragging us all down with him.

And I do think that if Trump acted Presidential and not like someone who's off of his medication. People would be more positive about the guy.

Sadly this is not the case.
