Well, we might soon choose who we believe.

DNC?

FBI?

Ukraine Witness?

Assange?

At that point , it would not be a belief. It would be set in stone.

Is it possible he gave to program to someone who
used it locally?

I suppose the other option could be they found a patsy?

The creator said he had no idea what it would be used for. Also the person / persons he created it for are never named. One would think if you create something thats then used in the commission of a crime and you go to law enforcement to proclaim your innocence you are going to have to give the names of the people you made it for.

Unless you don't know.

Programmers aren't uncommon- many of them live in poverty.
I know a guy in the US who makes a living outsourcing code- he hires people like this for pennies an hour, reviews and tweaks their code, then resells it for hundreds an hour.

If you were used to earning a few thousand us dollars a year, how much would you take for an anonymous job?
25k?
80?
Chump change to US political parties.

They'll happily pay you a million, then leave your body on a pier.

The most suspicious part of this story is that this guy didn't shoot himself in the left side of his head, twice, after releasing the software.

No way to separate corruption from
this, this is what corruption looks like.

One side gets away with murder, while accusing
the other of the crime.

I see that Politico is reporting this. They usually hold off for as long as they reasonably can with anti-Democrat news. If it shows up on CNN.com, it's REALLY big.

My guess/ hope is that Ukraine saw the light
after Trump won. Perhaps a faction within decided to
come clean. One can always hope.

Then how did this guy know his malware was used in this particular incident? Why go to the police if the hackers are unknown to claim responsibility for the malware? Why argue he didnt know what it would be used for when the name alone, malware, is self explanatory?

Why do this now if for no other reason than to try and get the VIPS article and the liberal left media outlet the nation out of the news? Its probably why the democratic governor and city mayor in Virginia / charlottesville issued stand down orders to law enforcement. They needed something big to refocus the attention back on trump.
