Didn't ISIS murder a journalist or two? CNN is barking up the wrong tree...ignoring the REAL danger. Jerks!

And if Hiilary had won?

Can't forget her comments about making sure
Btietbart would get put down.

Mind you that Andrew Brietbart was indeed
in danger due to his journalism.

Let's not forget Michael Hastings....

If a journalist loses his job because he
does shoddy investigating, what's the loss?

And you are defending the media.

This is quite interesting.

You should be as well.

You know, 1st amendment, freedom of speech and all that jazz.

Bull.

The media isn't being censored, it's just being criticized.

We are saying that the President of the United States is making the Media to be the enemy. He isnt just critizing them he is signalling his supporters that they are always wrong and to fight them. This is a far cry from presidents of the past and resembles Nixon in his last few months.

Lying to the public when portrayed as news, does make them your enemy.

I did not say they were being censored. What I am saying is that they should be defended, whether we agree with them or not, in order to protect the 1st amendment.

First amendment ends when the lies start.

The media has lost all standard of ethics. I don't mind if they disagree, sometimes people make good points, but when they lie as often and deliberate as they do, they are not being censored, they are being ignored.

Defend a lie? You can't defend a lie, it is a lie. The "News" should be begging for the mercy of the citizens of this nation for misleading and misinforming them when they can't handle the truth.

I can't understand some of the people here.

Are you saying that people can't be critical of the media?

Trump is calling it as he sees it.

The "Trigger" effect has an enormous impact factor.

Sure.

Always a good idea to defend known liars.

Bull.

The media isn't some protected class.

They can be criticized by anyone.

It seems to only work one way in some peoples eyes, the media is given full free speech and the president must not say anything about it. hmmm, seems hypocritical.

I think CNN reporters will be safe they don't even leave the parking lot for live reports.

The news media outlets should be operated
like any other for profit business, if no one buys their
garbage let them suffer the consequences!

They only have the freedoms they defend!

I did not say they were a protected class and I did not say they couldn't be criticized.

I was responding to your specific statement about defending the media. I think it's fine to defend the media, but we can still criticize and call out their lies. Especially if they are legaly crossing the lines of defamation and libel.

But I still think we should defend the 1st amendment, even when we disagree with how people us that right.

I try to be a strong advocate for free expression, always.

That includes criticism. Criticism IS free speech.
