This is creepy.

I took this shot of a dragonfly this afternoon.

When I enlarged it in PS - I saw this.

All I did was lighten the 'teeth' a bit.

This is...

WAY CREEPY!

I caught a dragonfly a long time ago and saw the same thing and it freaked me out.. IT has the face of a man! Scary isn't it?

It just sat there on my garden fence. I even had to go in and get the camera.
Came back out and jokingly said 'say cheese' - and it did.
Have multiple shots of it.
It only flew off when I tried to touch it's wings.

Excellent picture, he/she was very photogenic.

Here's a pic before I made the mistake of asking it to 'say cheese'.

All I was doing was looking at it's freaky nose.

I was about eighteen and fishing at a pond on a farm back in 74 and a dragonfly landed on my left hand. I was sitting on the hillside with my pole in my hand watching it. I had it a foot from my face and it was looking me right in the eyes, kind of smiling at me. It slammed it's head down into my hand, grabbed a chunk of flesh and flew off with blood oozing out all over the place from the hole in my hand. That was the end of my fishing, I went to the bar and got drunk and showed my friends the hole in my hand from the dragonfly.

That was back in seventy four, a long time ago. There is a little discolored spot in that location, but that could be from a lot of different injuries over the last forty years. I actually doubted if there would even be a mark there when I looked but there is.

I was just looking right in it's eyes, their eyes are really cool. I never knew they bite let alone take chunks out like that.

It's not their wings you have to worry about, it is under the mouth of the dragon fly that the problem is found.
