In this post I would like to posit a few questions..

Did the moon landings happen?

If so were the videos of the moon landings actual videos or were they prerecorded?

If they were recorded on a set why didn't they release the original video?

Was there an original video?

Did the moon landings actually happen?

Temperature of moon

Daytime on one side of the moon lasts about 13 and a half days, followed by 13 and a half nights of darkness. When sunlight hits the moon's surface, the temperature can reach 253 degrees F (123 C)

It can be 253 degrees however the space suits can protect them from this intense heat no problem.

Can't go on beyond low earth orbit??

Yes, the Moon landings Actually Happened.

No, the video were not faked.

Question:

Why do you find it so much easier to believe that we did not go to the Moon than that we did.

Could your bias be coloring your beliefs?

You mean why is it easier for me to believe that Nazi scientist devised a scheme to fake the moon landings as cold war era propaganda than to believe that we went to the moon several times and then suddenly stopped while no other space agencies have ever left low earth orbit??

If we (the west) did not go to the moon then why did Russia stay silent ?

We're talking peak time cold war era, you'd think Russia would have something to say about the matter if it was faked

That's why I believe we went

Antarctic Treaty

The Antarctic Treaty was signed in Washington on 1 December 1959 by the twelve countries whose scientists had been active in and around Antarctica during the International Geophysical Year (IGY) of 1957-58. It entered into force in 1961 and has since been acceded to by many other nations. The total number of Parties to the Treaty is now 53.

Can we fly outside of earth's orbit???

Many astronauts seem to believe that we can't.

Perhaps it is easier to believe that travel to to Moon, or even beyond LEO, is impossible because you have an inadequate education in the principles involved with space flight in particular, and/or science in general?

Or perhaps you erroneously believe that those who came before you could not possibly have been more dedicated, more determined, and possibly, more ingenious than we are, and were therefore able to accomplish things which we, despite our much more advanced technology (built upon their fundamental research), have yet to duplicate?

It is not that we CAN'T go back to the Moon.

It's that we have not Wanted to go back badly Enough to make it happen.

Or you erroneously believe the clever propaganda devised by Dr. Wernher von Braun and fellow propagandist Nazi scientist brought here during Operation Paperclip.

Von Braun

By the time he received his doctorate from the University of Berlin in 1934, von Braun already was working for the German military, assisting Oberth in building and firing small, liquid-fueled rockets. During World War II, he led rocket research at the German propulsion laboratory in Peenemünde on the Baltic coast.

But von Braun wanted to do more than develop weapons. He wanted to use rocket power to fly to space, to create a new frontier for scientific exploration and, eventually, peaceful human colonization of the stars.

With these goals in mind, as the war ended in Europe, he and key members of his team came to the United States to advise the military on developing its own rocket program. The effort initially was based at Fort Bliss, Texas, with launch testing conducted at White Sands Proving Ground, N.M.

Places and things

It's German feel free to translate it.

New Swabia

New Swabia was explored by Germany in early 1939 and named after that expedition's ship, the Schwabenland, itself named after the German region of Swabia.[1][2][note 1]

Yes.

LRO's orbital imagery and photos taken in situ by the Apollo astronauts will serve to illuminate our ramblings from one Apollo site to the next.

Then, yesterday, a panel of lunar scientists described new global observations of the Moon acquired over the past year by NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter

Or perhaps It is the fact that my father was one of the thousands in the aerospace industry who designed built, and launched the very rockets that took us first to LEO and then to the Moon itself.

Yes, the US milked its captive Nazi rocket scientists for all they were worth (the alternative was to let them rot in prison), but the German were not the only ones working on rocket development.

Look up Robert Goddard for a start.

You might be better served in the Space Exploration forum rather than here.

But yes, the Moon landings happened. There's tons of documented evidence, as well as modern LRO images of the landing sites, and laser ranging experiments that use mirrors left on the Moon by the astronauts.

You would do you yourself a favour if you actually discussed with us what it is you find difficult to believe in concerning the Apollo program, rather than just linking Youtube videos which, it seems, only take things out of context and misinterpret them.

Can you in all honesty look at the LRO images of the landing sites and still maintain that nobody was there?
