North Korean officers and soldiers are under investigation after spreading a very unwise joke comparing Kim Jong Un to a kindergartener. Members of the second army corps were allegedly arrested and are facing the death penalty for mocking the despotic leader.

Don't forget to throw in the religion of peace Islam where being critical of Mohammed is Blasphemy punishable by death.

The buried lede here is that article states that anti-Kim sentiment is rising in North Korea. An internal coup would save the region and the entire global community a lot of problems, which I think we can all agree would be the best outcome in this situation.

But let's not have that discussion - lets bash liberals and Islam for no reason.

Perhaps you conflate disdain for free speech with distain for the ignorant hateful, deliberately, spreading their diseases amongst the populace.

Doctor confirmed that Kim is 3.8" erect, but it wasn't due to an accident. He grew to that size naturally.

What do you guys think of that guy they took into custody? He looks like he could be a Kim Jung look Aline with the right hair cut and outfit?

Not sure why they held him yet but I find his timing of leaving the country suspect and if he was living there for a long time or became a citizen it's illegal to leave.

Someone said he worked at a Christian university there but I thought they didn't allow anything Christian in NK? Even gone as far as arrest to someone who left a bible behind.

The story of defectors on trial is fake news. It doesn't originate from NK, but from the "U.S. State Department" (read, CIA).

The story is being published in Western media for YOUR indoctrination. The groundwork is being laid, so that you will accept the news of a "coup by his own generals". And you won't believe the stories coming out that US Navy seals were present in North Korea even before the uprising, blowing up factories and military depots and food stores.

You will believe that "the North Koreans themselves rose up and overthrew the Kim regime." The US military advisors will just be in-country in order to keep casualties to a minimum, and secure any nuclear weapon assets.

I would argue that any unrest in North Korea is just as likely to be caused by China of not more so. China wants to keep the buffer between them and South Korea. So if they can get a sympathetic faction of the military to take over then the US and South Korea don't really have an excuse to annex the country.

The Chinese already HAVE a sympathetic leader in NK. It's Kim Jong Uen.

China has a rail line across the NORK border, and ships them coal on a daily basis. NK would shut down in a week if not for the constant "gifts" given them by the PRC. Kim is simply their proxy. The only point of contention is how long the leash is, that keeps him tethered to Beijing.

This is the same modus before the US invasion of Iraq. Starting 6 weeks before the invasion, there were reports of "rogue units" in the Iraqi military blowing up weapons and fuel dumps to foment a rebellion. It was US Navy Seals the whole time. Saddam Hussein's persons-of-hench knew full well that they had absolutely no future if anything happened to their dear leader.

Likewise with the Norks. All of the military executives are blood relatives of the ruling KIM clan. This is just the US building up a layer of plausible deniability before they institute regime change.
