I often point out that the current issues aren't "anti-Trump". They are "anti-American".

From flag burning to outright violence, we see the distinction.

If Hillary had been elected, we would have traveled farther down the road to socialism, a soft dictatorship, with government growing more controlling, more powerful.

With Trump, you see a difference that even has republicans at odds with each other. So many see things like healthcare as a responsibility of government and not a responsibility of the individual.

Same goes for safety, employment, raising a family, buying a house, to education.

People aren't anti-Trump, they are anti-Constitution, anti-American, anti-freedom.

I can totally relate to reaching down and accessing what you are talking about when it's needed and I give shout-outs to Kali on a rather frequent basis (heh).

My point is that I don't bring that facet of my soul, spirit, or being into conversations or debates because it's not conducive. I like living in a civil society, complete with all the politeness and rules that come along with it. I save the other stuff for when politeness isn't what is called for.

Debate requires etiquette if it is to be conducive. Eating people or wearing their children around your neck as trophies isn't that. That was my point.

And Im polite. I also didnt take anything as a personal attack.. I dont really care about personal attacks. Theyre kind of empty online. Politeness isnt usually a norm in RANT threads.. or mud pits... but its funny what one person will call politeness and then turn around and be impolite. Its the ever moving yardstick with people. Politeness usually covers a persons real inside feelings like a societal mask... and then when properly poked with some words.. they reveal who they are. The routinely impolite then expect us to all have amnesia when speaking to them further or on another subject... so they can call foul and have others without long memories to come to their aid. Me? Im polite, but Im also honest.. and being mercenary is not one of my hidden attributes, its pretty well on my sleeve. I have polite conversations with polite people. I have eviscerating conversations with the impolite 2 faced flip flopping BSers... or those that take up their cause... politely.
I find the Maori refreshingly honest.. rather than the savage warriors you describe. Id prefer the Maori over the oh so polite and civilized that will eat at your table and slit your throat from behind.

Thanks, I think you summarized that very succinctly. The entitlement mentality has ruined this country and the career politicians should be held accountable for the perpetuation of this mindset. Adherence to Conservative and Constitutional government practices would have never brought us to this point in history.

Liberal thought and science have replaced the American narrative of hard work, belief in a higher power and self reliance. We are only as strong as our weakest link and it appears that the weak link is a form of Progressive Socialism permitted to grow by our self appointed government of blue state "educated liberal" elites. We need to retrench and adopt a radical new paradigm or we are finished. Conservatism has it's faults but Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Well... not ALL liberals are anti American idiots. By far. Not all conservatives are constitutionalists are freedom loving citizens, either. We each have some very insidious people covered by these labels.. liberal and conservative... who are either purposely ( or just mental) or by stupidity promoting some of the most anti American things Ive heard. Its up to us all to distance and shun these types and NEVER give them a platform.

I hate to paint with such a broad brush but it seems that the only way to communicate a point is with a quick bold statement, I find in necessary because of that five second attention span our electronic devices have conditioned into the less critical thinkers.

I understand the liberal viewpoint and have great respect for some with liberal ideology, my wife comes to mind, and yet I can never manage to get through the cloud of MSM programing that she views as reality. Your points are well taken and appreciated but I stand by my statement and offer an old quote to be quite profound:

I am old, and apparently never had a heart. I was not given to this type of thinking many of the liberals of today have even in my youth... certainly Im more rigid even in my old age. BUT.. if we who call ourselves Patriots dont call out our own pieces of crap in under our label ( which labels are BS but in todays US we live by them) then we arent any better than the liberals who dont call out their socialists and freedom haters and violent POS that fly under their own labels. I admit to owning that quote posted, I pretty much came of age in the late 1960's with all that entails. I essentially agree with your point that every group needs to disavow those who hate America and the idea of American values. Labels are BS, but are necessary to convey an idea or concept quickly without the infinite detail and vocabulary of language....no one wants to read a paragraph on liberal ideology when a simple abbreviation like SJW conveys the same information. Granted that the paragraph on ideology would be more succinct and accurate in a blog, but no one wants to read a textbook when a word will suffice.

Sorry, I don't get triggered because I don't have a SJW outlook, I am a pragmatist. I assume from your full page rant that you are a little triggered and asking me to defend and expound issues not addressed in the original OP is precious. I have a very detailed understanding of today's issues, I'm sure that ideologically we have vastly different view points. I see god, hope, flag and patriot as the only things of substance that remain in America today.

I abhor the rise of progressive fundamentalism — the unflinchingly-held belief that the prevailing vision of the left’s elitist planners is the one and only path to justice in American society is flawed and I reject it. I posted this in the Rant Forum and I don't feel any inclination to continue discussion on this topic. Thank you for your interest in my opinion, I will offer that I have little respect for any of the clowns that have been elected President in the last sixty years and I can list the faults of every one Democrat and Republican. I have drifted toward Libertarian but I think we are well past any chance of saving ourselves at this point. If you find comfort in ideology then embrace it, I remain pragmatic and resolute.
