I just read of a cool find that came from a muddy pit in a Cairo suburb. On March 9, Egypt's antiquities ministry announced the discovery of a statue, possibly depicting pharaoh Ramesses the Great.

Indeed, the statue was found in a courtyard near the ruins of the sun temple founded by Ramses II, better known as Ramesses the Great.

The three-tonne torso of a massive statue that may be of one of Egypt's most famous pharaohs has been lifted from mud and groundwater where it was recently discovered in a Cairo suburb.

On the discovered portions there is no inscription found that would make it possible to determine which king it is. But its discovery in front of the gate of the temple of Pharaoh Ramses II suggests that it is likely him,” al-Anani wrote.

Makes one wonder what other great artifacts are waiting to be discovered.

Interesting theory Picollo30

There's a 2nd species on this planet.
They are not extraterrestrials
They are very much with us
They made maps in the previous ice age
The remnants of their civilisation are all over the place
A lot of time, they're along the coast, submerged... because the sea level has gone up by 400 m
But this group has large brains.
They're very distinct from homo sapiens

Their DNA is so different that if the 2 species mated, their offspring would be infertile
And we know this because their DNA was just tested,

They have skulls all over the place because they had been on Earth with us
But after the ice age, there weren't that many of them
And so they've been hiding and one of the places they have been hiding is in the Vatican
That's why the Vatican are wearing those mitres

It turns out that that's also what the high priest wore in the early beginnings of Judaism.

Not his skull. That's the shape of the crown. His head was the same shape as yours.

Khaled el-Anani, Egypt's antiquities minister, said the colossus discovered last week in a Cairo suburb by an Egyptian-German team almost certainly depicts Psamtek I, a little known pharaoh from the 26th dynasty who ruled Egypt between 664 and 610 B.C. He said the size of the statue—with an estimated height of some 9 meters (26 feet) and a weight of seven tons—was typical of Ramses II's era, but that hieroglyphs discovered at the statue's back-pillar after it was unearthed showed that it was of Psamtek I, who ruled some 600 years after Ramses II and sat on Egypt's throne for about 50 years.
