I chipped one of my front teeth on this thing around 1964.

I dislocated my elbow and banged up a lot of other parts in '65, when four of us attempted to see how fast we could make it spin and still stay aboard. I was 8 years old. The experiment was a grande success, as we determined exACTly how fast we could make it spin while still staying aboard.

Apparently, I was the weak link. You have to sort of admire the diabolical genius who created these whirly-gigs. I'm guessing it was a man, and he didn't have kids.
