HRC lost bad county by county. She gained 1 county to Trump's 5 counties. Thank God that the Founding Fathers had the smarts to put the Electoral College in place.

"fake news", Hillary didn't take 57 counties, she in fact took 487. Trump took 2,626. So the record is set straight, Clinton receive one county for every 5 of Trumps. Cool.

NEW YORK — A trending story that claims Hillary Clinton won a total of 57 counties in the presidential election is untrue.

How many counties did Hillary Clinton win? 487, not 57 as fake news story claims

The Associated Press finds that Clinton won 487 counties nationwide, compared with 2,626 for President-elect Donald Trump.

She still hols the popular vote, but the Electoral College is still Trump's.

It also falsely claimed that Clinton outpaced Trump by more than 2 million votes in the five counties that comprise New York City, which the story said accounted for the entirety of her lead in the national popular vote. An AP count finds that Clinton beat Trump by roughly 1.5 million votes in New York City. Nationwide, Clinton holds a popular vote lead of more than 2 million

I would still like to see a Congressional district map so I can work out how many delegates everyone would have gotten using each district and then the two Senatorial votes go to the respective state winner just to see how that would have played out.

What a HORRID thread title. Could you make less sense?!

Your title should inform the reader that Trump took the majority of US counties.

Yes, I'm a grammar Nazi.

Once again for the second/third time around. Trump wins.

Shall we begin another recount just to make sure the numbers are unequivocally without a doubt the correct numbers.

It isn't over yet. I'm still waiting to see the official results reported from the 3 main moon colonies.

She's still got a shot, those moon colonies typical lean democratic.

Give it a rest.

It doesn't mean anything.

Los Angeles County alone has 10,170,292 people.

Hillary won Los Angeles County by almost 1.3 million votes, and she won New York City by 1.5 million (according to the OP), so if we exclude these from the overall totals that means that overall, everywhere else in the Country, Trump won the popular vote by 800,000 votes.

La La Land Vote Totals

LA and NY combined have a population of about 18.4 million. So, this means that "the other" 95% of the American population voted for Trump overall in the popular vote - in addition to his county-by-county landslide.

This is exactly why the Electoral College is in place - so that two isolated large coastal cities do not have the ability to thwart the overall democratic will of the Country.

We are darn lucky the Electoral College is in place. I have heard rabid HRC people go off the rails that the E-college is BS and that we (illogical HRC supports) are getting the shaft. Short sighted buffoons, it will sooner or later work in your favor too. Stupid and sad that people that aren't in High school can't understand this.

I see the usual sore loser is here.

Can't get enough of the left getting creamed by the silent and respectable majority.

Trump dominated the US in terms of where it counted. HRC really dominated in cities and very liberal areas.

1 county for every 5 of Trumps, amazing LOSS.

What does county by county have to do with anything? There are some amazingly empty counties in this country...why should they matter as much, or more, than counties with millions of people in them?

County by county has absolutely nothing to do with the electoral college, it was never meant to give the rural vote a 'voice.' I don't know who started that idea but that's not what it was made for.

Someone even made a fantastic argument in favor of one person, one vote (getting rid of the EC);

Hillary won Los Angeles County by almost 1.3 million votes, and she won New York City by 1.5 million (according to the OP), so if we exclude these from the overall totals that means that overall, everywhere else in the Country, Trump won the popular vote by 800,000 votes.

It sounds to me like the decision wouldn't be up to just two megalopolises but the entire country. At the same time, the argument was ridiculous, 'if you subtract these votes then the outcome is different'...well, duh.

Trump lost the popular vote. He's not a popular guy and he's going to go into the White House with an abysmally low approval rating. Get over it because he still won the election.

Gotta love liberals...

Trump has not taken office and they already poll his presidential approval numbers...

Awesome lol

Btw, are these the same people who polled Hillary winning the election?
I'm pretty sure every single poll save the LA Times had trump losing...
As did every casino in the world...

So spare me your ridiculous approval ratings stats...

They have Obama with a historically high number while the country overwhelmingly has swing right(as in politically speaking)

Anyhow, I can't wait to see his legacy erased from history in the coming months..
