I've seen a lot of programs in my life, many powerful ones too, BUT....

Looking back on shows which defined themselves by musical scores, programs like Miami Vice in the 80's and similar, very few shows have had not only a great story line, but also a fantastic musical score. I mean, let's face it; the acting in Miami Vice was laughable.

Fast forward a couple decades (maybe a bit more) and we have shows which are much more. Much more talent, much more well executed, much better production...and a stand out in this respect is The Royals.

Absolutely fantastic show (not sure what the Brits think of it, but it's fantastic). Only show on television which can give Walking Dead a run for it's money, a serious run.

And the music and production is absolutely 2nd to none.

Honestly, I think I'm looking more forward to the beginning of "Season 7" of The Royals than I was Season 7 of the Walking Dead!

WOW...what a show...and the music is just awesome! I wish someone would release a series of albums of all the music they've used on this program!!

Penny Dreadful.

The writing is ingenious, the score is beautiful, the acting is impeccable. Watching Penny Dreadful is artistic cognitive indulgence.

Here is a snippet of the soundtrack. Abel Korzeniowski's gloomy solemn style fits nicely with the picture, the story and the beautiful prose of Penny Dreadful.

There should be no argument, the soundtracks associated with this show are nothing less than EPIC.

They make the show.

I mean, Elizabeth Hurley doesn't hurt, but the music, the music is just epic.

Just sayin.

Best what I would "more call an OST": Luke Cage

Best what I would "more call a Score": LOST.

Luke Cage mixes lots of smooth material in, with masterful dope 'composing' to glue it all together. LOST is purely 'composed', aside from some 'plot device' theme tracks such as with Hurley's hippy bus.

Penny Dreadful is good too. Also enjoy Westworld; hearing modern tunes thru the old saloon player pianos is oddly soothing.
