Such a nice looking model.

It's a shame that it broke apart.


For those that can't watch the vid. Like the name of the post implies. This was a really nice model of a Saab Gripen. That just flew apart midair.
If you do watch the video. Make sure you put it in 1080p 50fps. It looks great.

Looks like the upright tail-fin of the plane broke off first causing the rest of the plane to warp and disintegrate. Either the maneuver they were performing was too much for the tail-fin to handle, or it wasn't attached properly in the first place.

Sux bigtime either way. I love RC flying and to see such a nice RC model disintegrated is awful!

I do feel bad for the guy/guy's that built it. I cant imagine all the hours spent on that.

I love R/C planes too. This has been my project all summer, no ETA for maiden flight. After watching that I don't know if it will ever fly!
This is Not me or my plane, but it is exact same kit and engine. I will post pics when it is painted.

I race 1/8 and 1/10 offroad RC Cars. This is why I don't bother with planes. The mistakes are too costly.

Next time use quality building materials and reinforce the frame.
