As a member who loves this website, I wanted to build a compilation of the types of occupations of the people who frequent this website. Because of the fact that we like to discuss alternative topics I've heard people call us everything from nut jobs to kids hiding in their parents basements, crazies, and any other negative term you can think of. Over my years of being here, I have spoken to all kinds of people from all walks of life, I've met computer engineers, pilots, mechanics, So I'm creating this thread as a reference point to share when we get called crazies. All I'm asking for is a quick reference to what you do for a living.

Myself, I work in the automotive electronics field.
I have certificates in mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and network engineering.

I run a peanut processing facility. Being a nut job kind of comes with the territory.

Ten years, big loud machines, and creative ways of problem solving.

I also learned Spanish working here.

Welfare is not an occupation, I consider that temporary assistance until you get back on your feet. What job skills do you have or what have you worked as?

I'm a graphic designer..
Print, web, motion, and on the side a little bit of 3D modeling.

### I DID TEACH at ITT until they freaking shut down a week ago as well at nights...
But it's ok as that was more for experience anyway for later in life.

I've had close to 15 jobs in almost 20 years of working. I'm currently running an engineering business but I've handed my notice in to move elsewhere. I get bored easily.

I've worked in retail, research, motor trade, solicitors, media, psychology (that's what I'm qualified in)...

I just can't ever find something I like/don't get bored of.

I think I'll be starting my own business in a couple of years.

Respect right back.

I know a couple people whom are very smart. But get bored fast. They find a subject or intrest in a field, fully immerse themselves in it. Know it inside and out, then move on.

Currently, editorial for an electronic publishing company. So, yes, I am a paid grammar nazi among other things.

I have also spent time working with children who have learning disabilities and as a classroom teacher and the usual stint in retail.
