nice...you also need to put your entry into a new thread....give your piece a title....and tell us a little bit about the work.

Add this to the title of your thread

I like your work there

You're amongst the angriest SoBs on ATS and yet there it is. It takes peace and stillness to draw like that...focus etc.

Sorry you are quite correct,LONG story ,but in person I am enjoyed.
It takes a higher concentration than aiming. Cross hatching is a strong attention taker but NOT as bad as calligraphy or the accursed pointillism...don't TRY that if you're impatient...OR the software MAYA its lethal with stress.
I noticed in school feet and hands throw people.

I can but say there is a duality, I AM sensitive AND intelligent, the combination has created anger.
Humans should NOT live this way.

I was a sketcher for a few years and know the dark arts of the cross hatch. One of the biggest pissy fits I've ever had was not being able to get a face just right. Body was spot-on and couldn't take second best on the face. So aggravating at the time.

It's good to see an artistic side to members.

Make a thread with your stuff and add [DC12016]

Portraits are where i spend most of my time, im no master but im good enough I have to turn down commisions just because of time. One of the things i fall into even now, especially when rushing is remeber the basics regarding proportions, blocking, shaping.. When drawing people Remind yourself , there are many reasons you can recognize a person from far away, and none have to do with details. If you dont know the basics focus there.. And if you do, remind yourself of them. www.artyfactory.com...

Good advice. I taught myself to draw by copying comics books and characters off cartoons. It's an approach that works and gets the eye working on negative space as quickly as the hands get used to fine motor control.

Xibalba is a Mayan place of hell.
I always try to devise things I haven't seen,it saves my craven ego from being told I've drawn something incorrectly...
Rach'tor is a gunship designed as a borg killer, not the heaviest of ship cannons but with phase shielding they are deadly.
This design was painted and that has gotten me a great deal of way into art school...guess I should have gone in the 80s.
It was my impetus to attempt 3d modeling,THAT war continues.
I want models of what I draw but it's too expensive in 1/24th scale...gotta be that size.
