Take a look at this www.realclearpolitics.com... Real Clear Politics list of polls that they use to arrive at their average.

With the exception of NBC News, the number of people polled is extremely small. Also, which of them would be unbiased? No way NBC is! Is RealClearPolitics.com owned by a Liberal group, or corporation?

Real Clear Politics uses the actual data from various polls but they do decide which ones to include. I don't think they are representing incorrectly, but their average is skewed by clearly inaccurate polls. Marist used to have a good reputation but their recent polls are extremely skewed towards democrat respondents (which can be seen in the underlying data). Their c15pt lead for Clinton pushed the average up for a while and will do so again when their new poll comes out. it's the same with Monmouth.

Looking at the recent polls, it looks like Clinton is up by about 4 points in in the 4 way polls that include Johnson and Stein.
