DNC Caught Accepting Money from Union-Busting Companies in New Leak

Per the latest release of internal DNC files from Guccifer 2.0:

So, apparently, as long as the check clears...the DNC will take your money...EVEN if you are in direct opposition to the Democrat Party's stated goal.

Unions will be especially interested to learn about the huge union-busting corporations donating enormous amounts of money in order to win influence from and curry favor with, Hillary Clinton.

Bernie supporters will certainly wish to take note, as well.

A new set of documents leaked by hacker Guccifer 2.0 allegedly shows the Democratic National Committee has no qualms about asking for donations from some of the most evil corporations in America — even the corporations whose values are directly in opposition to the Democratic Party’s stated goals.

The spreadsheet, which can be viewed in its entirety here, shows that DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and others within the DNC contacted several dozen corporate lobbyists to secure donations for the 2016 election cycle, soliciting four, five, and six-figure donations from their clients.

The same spreadsheet shows the DNC asking for and receiving large sums of money from labor unions, environmental groups, and other advocates of progressive causes who may have likely given more thought to their donation had they known the DNC was asking their biggest opponents for money as well.

On a tab labeled “YesCommits,” meaning donors that said yes to the DNC’s requests for money, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) committed to a $45,000 donation for 2016. Just four slots below, Walmart’s PAC for Responsible Government is shown having donated $15,000 to the Democratic Party in 2015.

Walmart has always been openly anti-union and is known nationwide for forcing employees into captive-audience meetings, in which anti-union propaganda videos are shown to new hires. Nonetheless, at the same time the DNC asked Walmart for money, it also asked for and received a $45,000 donation from the United Food and Commercial Workers union, one of the unions leading and sponsoring protests and strikes at Walmart stores nationwide for the corporation’s opposition to raising wages and displays of open hostility toward unions.

In the “Active” tab, under which active requests that are awaiting a reply are filed, the DNC is seen asking the National Restaurant Association PAC for $45,000, and asking for an undisclosed amount from McDonald’s.

This is particularly ironic, as the National Restaurant Association is one of the leading opponents of a national minimum wage hike, and the SEIU has been leading and funding the Fight for $15 minimum wage campaign since 2012, with McDonald’s as one of its key targets. The Democratic Party has had a $15/hour minimum wage in its official platform since August 2015, when party activists passed a nonbinding resolution, which became official last weekend when the minimum wage hike was approved by the Platform Drafting Committee.

The DNC also received $15,000 from Verizon and $105,000 from Comcast despite also asking the Communications Workers of America (CWA) for funding. The union is currently actively fighting companies like Verizon and Comcast for better wages and working conditions for its workers.

My only question here is why are these companies donating to an organization that actively opposes them? That they are attempting to circumvent unions such as the SEIU, which I consider the embodiment of evil themselves, is not a bad thing, but donating to the DNC in itself is evil. I suppose they're just covering their bases to point out their "commitment" when the DNC comes after them with pitchforks. It's not surprising that the DNC will whore after anyone for money.

They all want to secure a piece of the next pie offered up. Remember how Cheney was connected to Halliburton, got all those contracts to feed the troops "over there"?

War is big business and business is goood.

Perhaps the Corporations know that Trump is DOA, so they are just trying to stay in the game with the chosen one.

I thought sure It was going to be Jeb this time with the huge influx of Saudi money like usual.

The HRC machine is for the corprations, Unions are for the people, so in actuality the HRC machine must be against Unions and the empowerment of the people. She has shown herself to be against the people by allowing the voter suppression that took place in the 2016 Dem primary.

These anti union corps know that she will sign their lobbyists bills into law, though they will need to donate to the Clinton Foundation also!

HRC has great credibility in working for corporate profits!

Hilley will always flip for corporations as she throws the people under the bus!

Maybe she will use her magic (Hard drive) cleaning cloth, to wipe the Unions too!

Yes. As long as money is allowed to corrupt all politicians, corporations will donate to all politicians. We then have to look at what lawmakers do.....

Republicans Push Right-To-Work Laws Against Determined Opposition

Buoyed by hefty legislative majorities, Republicans in several states are pushing hard for right-to-work laws and other anti-union legislation.

Right-to-work laws originally were the product of an anti-union backlash after World War II that involved racial politics in the South. In 1947 a coalition of Republicans and Southern Democrats passed the Taft-Hartley Law over President Harry Truman’s veto .....Armed by Taft-Hartley, all 11 states of the old Confederacy passed right-to-work laws, joined by several states in the Great Plains and mountain West.

Which candidate are the largest Unions behind this election? I haven't seen the traditional footage of either candidate addressing big Union Rallies.

Maybe unions are no longer important, now that they're so small in size and influence?
