Sorry, re-posting since I messed up the quotes on the last one and my response did not render.

YOu haven't said anything about a) the people on the list in the article, b) why they are hypocrites, c) how they are taking away Constitutional rights.

Why don't you start there?

No need to, that would be following your misdirection.

The Constitutional Amendment applies, regardless of names.

A variation on "I know you are but what am I" ... you say nothing, you make a baseless charge of misdirection.

Members of Congress own guns. They participated in a demonstration regarding background checks and keeping terrorists from having guns. To imply that contravenes the Second Amendment is ridiculous without any evidence.

But go on with the pointless ad hom.

So, by saying

...keeping terrorists from having guns...

are you saying that every name on each of those no-fly and terror watch lists are terrorists? Every single one? After all, if they are trying to keep terrorists from having guns, and the main point in these bills was to link the lists to determine rights of ownership, that must mean everyone on the list, in your mind, is an all-out terrorist.

Please clarify that for me, in case I misunderstood.

I don't know why some people have been TROLLING the thread.

Since it's well know that Congress EXEMPTS itself from many laws they pass.

Most recently the ACA.

www.washingtontimes.com...

Do As We Say, Congress Says, Then Does What It Wants

Congress exempt from several federal laws

I can wait to see the STATIST's spin this one.

You've just been shown above that Members of Congress are required to have background checks just like everyone else.

To maintain otherwise, from this point, is to post known falsehoods.

Perhaps. Why don't you start a thread and prove it?

Uploading this picture has nothing to do with this particular thread about 26 democrats doing a political sit-in stunt. Nice derailment as usual.

Most recently the ACA.

Is that a red herring?

By the way, congressmen/women are subject to the same background checks.

Also, the capitol is a gun-free zone. Why haven't the Republicans changed that while in power?

Hypocrites?

Really now ?

For a group of people that have a long history of EXEMPTING themselves from the LAWS they write.

Seems to be a rush on stupidity, since they cant win with legislation atm.

Because only they know best, 200 + years of The Constitution
must be wrong.... because "terrorists" are "complicated".

As if mankind has never had this problem before.

Which terrorists ?

Those congressional TERRORISTS ?

www.fbi.gov...

18 U.S.C. § 2332b defines the term "federal crime of terrorism" as an offense that:

Is calculated to influence or affect the conduct of government by intimidation or coercion, or to retaliate against government conduct; and

Nope. I am pointedly not saying that every person on the Terrorist Database System is a terrorist. How could I know that?

I didn't say that or imply it. How would "linking the lists" as you say automatically mean that "everyone is a terrorist." That just doesn't follow.

I'm sure you know that there are a number of "lists" (including the "no fly list") used throughout the government that are based on the Terrorist Screening Database. More info here from the FBI website

My comment was directed at the intent of the legislation not an analysis of the letter of it. Are you familiar with the proposed legislation in the House? I'd be glad to take a look at it with you and share my thoughts.

Since you have no valid argument, take pacifier and join them perhaps?

YOU are the one complaining about members of Congress "doing nothing."

That clearly DEFINES the Republican-controlled Congress 2014-2016. If you don't like your own example, I'm sorry.

You're not making any argument. I asked you three times to explain any point you have to make about the 26 members of Congress's hypocrisy.

Instead, your whining about me and desperately trying to suggest that folks making a political statement and exercising their freedom of speech and assembly are in the wrong somehow.

I'm sorry you don't support the Constitution. Did you want to arrest the protesters or just shoot them?
