Can't imagine why ANYONE would want to convert ANYONE away from such a loving, PEACEFUL (hardy har har) religion... gimme a friggin' break! And to think that ANY civilized school, let alone NATION would consent to having that actually taught in a school is absolutely reprehensible. PLEASE tell me that NO CIVILIZED nation would even give that idea a second thought? Especially one where religion is, as it SHOULD be, separate from the government and its people's desires!

As far as atheism is concerned, isn't ALL they want is proof of God when it all boils down to it? God, in his "infinite" wisdom gave mankind "free will", right? So, they're exercising their God granted Free Will in looking for proof. I personally see no problem with questioning ANYTHING...how else have we, as humans, evolved this far? By QUESTIONING! After all, the catholic big wigs wanted to BAN glasses as evil because they "changed" the human form! Think where we would be if that would have happened...we would be blind in more ways than one.

At what point did I say anything about Christianity?

Christianity isn't even relevant in this discussion.

Well it is relevant to your initial comment.

Because no Atheist defends Islam unless they are dealing with a Christian apologist who is trying to posture the nonsense in Christianity by pointing to another religion that is worse.

I bet I could find evidence in your post history to prove my point, but, like I said, this is nothing new and I already know I'm right.

This Grand Imam of Egypt is weak in his faith. If GOD is on his side, no Atheist group, or other religion, is a threat to Islam. Shame on him for being fearful like this! tsk tsk tsk...

Some sympathy with that, it's a faith, just like every other faith, and with each faith comes that certain paradoxical arrogance within, it's inescapable, all the learning in the world will not confirm or deny the existence of a god, we don't even know what the common purpose for all life on this planet is.

. . . does any atheist disagree with his assumption that atheists would rather be soon rid of Islam?

I'm interested to see the answers.

Atheism is lack of belief in a god. Nothing more, nothing less.

People can believe what they want.

Its when it infringes on others that it becomes an issue.

spread their ideas with simple and comprehensible explanations

Atheists please stop. We cannot have simple and comprehensible explanations for things. I swear, the next time someone explains something to me in a simple and comprehensible way.. I'm going to lose it.

They're tainting our nonsense with their sense of reality.

Must be stopped.

So you REALLY DON'T approve of "freedom of religion" since the idealogy of atheism could be construed as a sort/form of religion as a "vast majority"? And IF it was, would you?

Basically the ideology of "If you don't follow my imaginary sky fairy, then you are wrong, and going to hell for all eternity"

Yes, like shooting up a gay club on latino night.

Or shooting up a newspaper, concert, cafe' etc.

Want I should mention bombs and beheadings?

Atheists should concern themselves with the material aspects of a religion.

Cripes...a loosely translated idea that is followed by many people...or ANYTHING believed in these or ANY days by the masses: ie idolization of the Kardashians (gag), maybe? As a simplified example. Not that hard of a stretch I'd think.

Should they exclude scriptural references and preachings used to justify such actions?

Would that be politically correct enough?
