Hi dad, where are you now,
This was the second to last photo I took of your life.

Mom and I miss you,
Your the reason I am here.

Making dreams come true was you,
I am happy you hugged me for the last time.

All your pains in life are gone,
Don't worry dad I took care of everything.

Now it's your turn to really love and love free,
I know you did not want to cry.

Dad I cried a ocean for you this week,
I was unexpecteing this moment in my life.

Now this world lives without a great person,
You life was a blessing to other's lives including mine.

How many stars came from your kind soul,
Well only you know.

I am sorry this took so long,
My soul is fighting for you as you fought for others.

I will never let you down dad,
Your a kind soul.

May you rest your soul in peace,
Dad, I will see you again one-day again!

Mom and I love you.

As I said before your life made us stars.
Now be free and dream and kindly rest in peace...
Goodnite ATS member Kendix1960 and I know what your name meant now.
RIP DAD!

That was a lovely tribute to your Father! I still miss my Dad after 9 years and I miss my Mom who left us in October. Very touching.

Hurt

Beautiful tribute to your father, yes.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that one day you will find each other again in the light.

Michael, that was lovely.

I am sure your Dad was and is very proud of the kind human being you are.

When I read your words, I could feel your tears.

Smile your beautiful smile friend.

I can not offer you any comfort in your time of need... I am so sorry for your loss. But I would like to offer you a family tradition that has helped ease the pain of many a loved one passing for my family. Although it never really fades away..

My father started this tradition within our family. It is a simple thing really, but it lessens the heartache a bit when a loved one passes. Never, ever will it fill the hollow spot that now takes the place in your heart where your loved one once was. But it does help ease the ache a bit.

When a loved one dies from our family, we plant a sapling for them and sprinkle some of their ashes upon its roots. The immediate family takes care of the sapling until its roots grow strong within the dirt and it is able to sustain itself.

My father says that it is like we are giving new purpose or life to the recently passed. The trees that we have planted in such a way seem to grow stronger, and more beautiful than the rest. It is like they have some of the strength of the person who we planted them for within them. Usually it is a tree that flowers each year. Mine will be a lilac tree. And the blooms.. well, they are so much more sweet smelling and beautiful.

But what it does mostly, is when we see it in bloom, we remember how beautiful and amazing that person was. It is like when it blooms, it is a special time to remember who they were and what they meant to us..even though we still think of them every day. How much they touched our lives and our hearts. It brings them back to the present and ensures they never fade away.

Very sorry for your loss. I recently loss a family member as well.

Keep you in my thoughts,
blend57
