Fox News in serious talks about hosting Trump | Sanders debate before June 7 (or not?)

Fox News is in back-channel negotiations for an event featuring Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders before California's June 7 primary, according to Fox News anchor Bret Baier.

"It is not a joke and those back channel discussions are continuing and there will be some event in California," he said on "Special Report with Bret Baier" Thursday.

In a Friday interview with WMAL's Brian Wilson, Baier said that the talks with the two campaigns "are progressing" and that there's "real interest."

It's coming people and nothing can stop it. It's a shame the TYT won't be hosting this event now that Fox is looking to host the debate but it was only a matter of time before an MSM outlet stepped up to the plate. I dunno what the other outlets were doing, twiddling their thumbs, because they lost out on a historic debate. I mean Sanders who is not gonna be the Dem nominee will debate the only Repub to get the nomination before the convention (right?)! Meanwhile, old Hillary thinks she doesn't have to debate, or does she now? Imagine these 3 debating? How epic and when was the last time such a show was ever done during a presidential cycle?

Jesus... these are crazy times indeed!

The details, he added, were still being hammered out, but it would either be a "full-blown debate" or perhaps something in a town hall format.

I've been watching the live coverage of the San Diego rally and the narrator for the Fox 10 broadcast said that there was NOT going to be a debate. That was live about maybe 20 minutes ago.

Is that a local Fox affiliate? Any MSM outlet would be insane not to host this, unless the elites who control them don't want this to happen because both candidates aren't apart of the establishment.

As entertaining as it might be? Why should he?

Once Bernie secures the nomination, I am sure there will be plenty time for that, however, if people really believe the DNC will allow Bernie to represent them in the case of Hillary being forced out due to her shady actions, just wait for the uproar when the DNC actually appoints a Democrat!

Hmmm, you're right, he could flip again and decide to do it. The man is pretty unpredictable. I guess we all have to play the waiting game. Maybe he's saying no to raise the price of getting him to do it? Seems like something he would do.

You can tell he doesn't want to do it. Even though he says he would "love it", that's BS. He's afraid to do it.

It most certainly would make Hillary look really pathetic!

Yet, from Trumps stand point, by debating Bernie prematurely, he would most certainly lose possible votes in the future by doing so.

Some Bernie supporters have already said they would vote for Trump over Hillary. Yes, there are die hard Bernie supporters who will not voter for Trump EVER, some will.

So like I said, as entertaining as it might be, Trump has nothing to gain at this point by debating Sanders. If Sanders secures the nomination, we well all get that entertainment.

Sanders even called-out Trump:

"I hope that he changes his mind again. Mr. Trump is known to change his mind many times in a day," Sanders said. "Trump is a bully, he's a big tough guy. Well, I say to Mr. Trump, what are you afraid of?"

But it might be a smart move in that it's unlikely for Sanders to get the nomination. So that means he's looking at beating Hillary soon and this would make Hillary even weaker.

Oh we get it, you don't like the TYT but are you a fan of the MSM? I think he would be fine on the MSM but we know what expect from them because every network has it's formula but it would still be great none the less. With the TYT, a truly independent channel they would be free to ask anything and everything.
