I was introduced to the star-nosed mole via 'Ranger Rick' magazine.
It was a Boy Scout thing.
The back page had this close up photograph of the snout of a star-nosed mole and challenged you to guess what animal it was.
I thought I was looking at a monumental case of hemorrhoids.

I learned about most cool animals from Zooboomafoo.... and now the song is in my head, great.....lol

Sprint debuted the "Narwhal Song" during last years Daytona 500... it was SO damned annoying, that it will be imprinted on my brain forever!!

My coworker's wife insists that narwhals are not real nor could they possibly exist. Needless to say, I think she is a hoot.
