With all due respect to your limitations of knowledge, and the straining of my incredulity to your limitations, may I suggest the following...school teaches you only three things, how to read, how to write, and how to add up, the rest of your learning about life and about the planet you live on, is your responsibility, and it occurs outside of school time.

You need to broaden your horizons by your own inclination, and do not wait for others to inform you. Real education is self-sought, not taught.

Of course they are real, there was one in an episode of Futurama! But seriously, I heard of them many years ago, strange creatures, but definitely real.

Has it really gotten to this point. When people learn something they do not know. Their first thought is Mandela Effect. It can't possibly be a lack of knowledge on a subject. It has to be an alteration to reality as we know it.

No disrespect to the OP. I am happy you learned something new. Its just. I am as flabbergasted about this, as you are about Narwhals.

So cute when people discover new things that everyone else has known for-ever.

Just imagine how the OP will feel when they learn about the Manatee.........

Shhhhh....lets wait and see.

I'm 37.

When I was a kid and got in trouble and sent to my room and grounded from my toys, I was told that all I could do was read encyclopedias. So I did.

I learned about narwhals when I was about 7. I then forgot about them for years until my then-10-year-old son got that stupid narwhal song in my head, then I remembered them.

I know that this may come of as being rude, but you may want to go to your local library and just crack open an encyclopedia and read--it actually gets addicting, and you learn about things that you would never had heard of otherwise.

Then you might realize that not everything that you've never heard of (especially rarely seen ocean creatures) is an example of the Mandela Effect.

If the Dolphins evolved from a Wolf-like creature, is it possible that the Narwhals evolved from a Unicorn-like creature!
And if so how do we have memory of such things...

No, the only annoying catchy YouTube animal video I know involves badgers, mushrooms and snakes.

Oh and this one about honey badgers:

It's high culture. You can tell because of the classical music.
