Donald Trump said on a radio show in Seattle that cities that are "sanctuary" cities should not get Federal funding.

He cites laws and emphasizes exiting laws and stressed the secure border.

He also said he is in favor of all legal immigration.

Cities that are "sanctuary" are so because of self proclamation by those jurisdictions.

Apparently the Feds are allowing this because of some kind of selective enforcement?

Lots of wide open interpretations of laws going on all over the place it seems

Trump says ‘sanctuary cities’ should lose funding

In an on-air interview with KVI-AM’s morning host John Carlson in Seattle on Wednesday, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump blasted the idea of so-called “sanctuary cities,” and said that as president, he would withhold funding from those cities.

He called such cities “a haven for criminals.”

“We have to have law and order in our country,” Trump said. “We have no law and order. When you look at the people who are pouring in and the borders are so porous.

Law Lockdown !!

And he's correct. They should.

Obama threatened Federal funding being cut to states via the "Department of Energy", because he can.
The "Chief Executive" officer can divert and stop funds at their whim.

So, two will play this game. And rightfully so.

Being that supporting Illegal Immigration by your local representatives inviting them in and refusing to uphold the law, is Taxation Without Representation, and/or placing 'UNDUE BURDEN" on local taxpayers.

Can't wait for him to make that call.

Ridiculous. Cities where religious and charitable organizations help immigrants should be denied funds? These places also help imigrants on the path to citizenship.

Trump is backwards, as usual.

Trump never said that though. He said withhold funds from ILLEGAL immigrants, not immigrants who obey the laws. So it seems you got it backwards.. No worries, it happens..

So pulling federal funds out of a state because the state wants to discriminate against certain groups that's an outrage and an abuse of Federal Power.

But using that same pulling of federal funds out of a city because they don't want to remove illegal immigrants is a great idea??

I know it's not apples for apples. One is a city and one is a state. But both are still illegal, both Illegal Immigration and Discrimination. So other than the size of those being punished what am I missing that makes one ok and the other one not ok????

Why am I not surprised that people are against this.

Apparently, it is okay to ignore the rule of law, depending on your ideology.

(Just ask Hillary)

It's all part of an ongoing global conflict.
The US Mexican illegal immigrant onslaught is just one front in the battle. The Syrian Civil War that has been allowed to fester is another one.

The US is coming out of its slumber, Trump is just a sign of the awakening.

As opposed to Obama withholding funds from entire student populations so that the liberals can punish those who won't allow them to set up their sexual predator sanctuaries in bathrooms?

Trump is a sign of idiocy. He is not part of any awakening.

"Sanctuary Laws" aren't even real laws, they are a policy of non enforcement OF LAWS.

And these Sanctuary States and cities get Federal funding, assistance, tax shelters and "Write Offs"...for the very Illegal Immigration THEY won't prosecute, and many times encourage by giving benefits that Citizens have.

The whole thing is a a sham.

Any politician who authorizes "Sanctuary Law" should be able to be prosecuted, sued, held liable for damages....along with his local government colleagues who also voted for said 'policy'

They should all be run out of town and deprived of any Federal funds that assist them and their precious Illegal Army.

Everyday Trump is showing how establishment he really is.

He has already sold out to the RNC when it comes to fund raising.

He has shown us how partasin he is with his supreme court picks.

Just business as usuall following the status quo for the republican party.

"There is no Sanctuary."
-Logan

Donald Trump confuses me. He says everything twice in his sentences and then he renounces everything he's ever said in the past. But you know what? He makes Glenn Beck's head explode almost daily, so he's all right in my book.
