The second one reminds me of the Stephen King/Peter Straub story Black House. It's the sequel to The Talisman. Near the beginning a guy is found dead on the Santa Monica pier not far from the Ferris wheel.

I'm going to go against myself and be nice by saying that I love some of you. I hope you know who you are. But I can not simply ignore the hypocrisy before me. There were complaints that the Shed lost its magic or whatever you want to call it. Let me tell you. It is the same as before the complaints.

Actually if there is one, then it is negative. A difference I mean.

No. In the Shed 5 people complained. There was the revolution. I'm pointing out their hypocrisy because it persists and by their hands as well. It irks me.

That's the one. If you read it make sure you read The Talisman first. One takes place when the main character, Jack, is a kid. The second is when he's an adult.

IT is one of the best books ever written. I haven't read those two though. SK is a great writer. 👍
