The worst governments in modern history were Socialists. USSR, Maoist China, Khmer Rouge.

In 2012 France elected Socialist Party leader François Hollande... now look at what is happening to the country.

Don't let this happen to the USA by supporting the Radical Left.

Whew.

The last few days has been intense here. Not like the usual fun. people have been private messaging me to not post anymore. Apparently my view on socialism is taboo.

I disagree with it.

Look, people have different views, and we can all disagree, but good gravy, to silence me? I'm just a fat old man on the internet doing something to pass the time while I transition into retirement.

And I get hate mail? hahahahahahahahaha

I'm a nobody.

I'm nothing. Just a fart in a tornado.

If you guys want socialism, then suppress your neighborhood and go for it!
Tax your dog 500%!
Beat your neighbor, but do it for the state so you can get extra cheese next time you're in line.

But kiss my fat hairy ass if you want me to accept it.

Really.

Kiss it.

Use gloss.

Rant over, but I hope I was able to convey my feelings without harming anyone's safe space.

Live and let live.

And do with what cards you are dealt. Currently, the capitalist way of life seems to be dominant here in NA.
But, as more and more jobs become automated, socialism will eventually creep up more and more, it will need to be embraced rather shunned or ignored, social services and such will need to evolve rather than be torn down.

If we keep the capitalist way of life labour intense jobs will be either making slaves out of people, or very rare and will be the only salary jobs left, plumbers, HVAC, etc.
So, all power to you, hate on socialism, but don't let it's growing pains make the decision for you.
In a world where robots, and quantum computers will do most of the work, what will you, the capitalist be to them?
Will you be the owner, or the slave?

Or, figure out a way to make life better for everyone, while these technologies do the work for us. You decide.

History has already showed us the fruits of genuine Socialism. Socialist policies can be successfully implemented into certain aspects of society... but never go full retard.

Canada's Socialist Health Care system is ranked 30th globally.

Canadian health care saved my girlfriend, and her father.

I'm sure the same can be said about every country, but I'm glad to hear.

People often forget to take into account that California alone has a higher population then all of Canada. Trying to implement the same system on America would destroy the economy.

And US was 31st despite the highest per capita expenditure.

I didn't know the World Health Organization was an obscure blog, and apparently all you need is your own opinion to define reality instead of statistics and data.

The US has one of the largest populations in the world.

They moved from the UK, one of the reasons was their broken health care system.
If my girlfriend had not moved to Canada she would be dead.

You do not see the bigger picture here. yes, cali has a large population, so does the entirety of the US, but health care isn't socialist. You want big pharma, and doctors benefited from people being sick and dying? ever think of that?

Big Pharma has a monopoly in Canada because of the fact that it's health care is socialized, which means that people DO NOT get to choose which medications the state pays for. If they want an alternative, they need to pay out of their own pocket.

Obamacare is the closest thing to socialized health care America has ever had... and who is making the most money?

Yes, but you have to take population into account. Given the numbers compared to other countries with similar or higher populations like Indonesia, Russia and China the US is much better off.

You have edited you post making three different points. Which one would you like me to reply to?
US has highest or near highest per capita expenditure yet no where near best outcomes. Your own links back this up.

I tried to explain that population is a factor, the US may spend the highest but has the best health care compared to countries with similar or higher populations.

List of countries by total health expenditure per capita

The harder you try the more you fail, the top 10 best countries to live in have many socialist programs and the people are happier and do better all around.

You got 1 real link, bravo keep up the good work.

That why we use per capita figures. Why would population size matter more than per capita expenditure?

Like I said never go full Socialist. All these countries in your top 10 list have free markets and democratic elections. Hello?

When you become so salty that you need to resort to personal attacks I already know you have nothing of value to add to the debate.
