News just in here in Oz ... he has been cremated,
With his final resting place ... private.

The ball is in the coroners court.

But really, it was stated that there was no visible signs of trauma.
Pain mgmt too far ?

Who cares !?

Onto the topic, I wouldn't be surprised if he had an opiate problem (# I had a bit of one when I got back from the military) but also i wouldn't be surprised if this is just a lucrative smear .. Who know's either way wouldn't surprise me...

Hi handsome

We won;t know until we know. He had hip problems. I have knee problems but I am not about to be found dead in an elevator. People should wait until the results come back. Not look at TMZ and whoever fed off of TMZ.

The autopsy was alread done. no need to wait to cremate. We are waiting for autopsy results.

No, if it was pain management, the man managed his pain. but so many IFs....

I have early onset arthritis in my knees. My orthopedic surgeon says is is due to having been born with Osgood's Schlatter- which is usually followed by 'of childhood'. Meaning it usually fixes itself before puberty or soon after. In my case it did not. It just got worse. It hurts.

No doctor will give me anything than an anti inflammatory (which do not work) and I am allergic to the steroid shots. I am stuck with pain, basically.

Ughh... Knees are the worst and so is the surgery to replace them. My heart goes out to you. I'm going to see a new spinal specialist May 2nd. I'm hoping he can come up with a non surgical option to relieve some of the pressure in my neck because I've got disc impingement at C4/C5 and C5/C6. I'm not too keen on having it fixed surgically. I'd rather deal with the pain and wondering whether my hand will have feeling that day depending on how swollen the muscles round my scapula are because when they're swollen, the nerve gets pinched and searing pain shoots down the arm that is unbearable and ironic because I won't be able to feel half my arm and hand but can always feel the nerve pain. In my mind there is no acceptable risk where I could have something go awry that high up in my neck. The steroids and cortisone don't do anything for me either. I take that back...the cortisone works for about 3 days but between the copay and the chunk my insurance doesn't cover, it's not worth it at all. I need to figure something out though. In another year or 2 I won't be able to pick up my bass let alone play it anymore.

The downside to all of that is, because your tolerance is through the roof, if anything throws the schedule off, the withdrawal is horrific. It makes anything from Requiem for a Dream and Trainspotting look like a day at Disney World. Especially if the person is taking a synthetic opioid like Fentanyl or Dilaudid. All it takes is the doctor not getting you a refill in time or a pharmacy not having what you are prescribed in stock and your on the short bus to hell.

As someone who is dependent on kratom (herb with opioid actives), mainly for emotional pain and depression from 27 years of abuse and forced isolation (which while not as acute as physical pain and I would never claim I am unlucky compared to people who have to deal with chronic physical pain, it still quite psychologically damaging long-term)...I cannot even imagine. Kratom is comparably very mild, and if you use unprocessed powdered leaf as tea like I do, also contains natural regulators to prevent overdoses from being terribly harmful, so it's considered so safe it's actually used in some countries quite effectively to rehab heroin and other hard opiate/opioid addicts. But even so, if I accidentally run out I'm completely dysfunctional within 24 hours. Feels like a waking nightmare. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy and I almost feel panicky just trying to imagine how much worse the w/d from a synthetic opioid would be.

Strange how all these music stars manage to cope with their drugs very well for decades, with no outward signs of damage...then suddenly, they seem to behave as though they have zero experience with what ought to be second nature to them...

Death from a drugs overdose happens quickly, not spread over a week where he's ill, then ok, then ill again, then fine enough to perform a concert, then dead.

It doesn't work like that.

There are people who maintain a significant dependencey on opiates for 20, 30, 40 years with no ill effects other than the addiction itself...granted it is usually those with financial means who have access to cleaner products who can maintain this normality, and those who without means usually end up dead through secondary infections, and crap products.

Prince was certainly in the camp of having financial means, and i doubt he ever shared works.

If he was an opiate addict, it's very safe to assume he knew what he was doing.

His biggest problem wasn't an opiate addiction, if he actually was an addict...it was opening his mouth on live TV about certain unmentionables last year. He wouldn't be the first high profile, influential celeb who became 'troublesome'.

And it's just a teeny, tiny bit fishy that they've burnt and disposed of the corpse already, especially since the reports are that the cause of death still hasn't been determined.

Hard to find evidence of foul play in a pile of ash isn't it.

The Daily Heil is a trash rag, it prints bs on a daily basis and manufactures cr*p to sell.
Half the time what they print is entirely fictitious and comes from "anonymous sources" (in other words, an imaginary friend the writer talked to desperate for something to write).

For an idea about their "credibility", remember that this is one of the British tabloids who printed the nonsense that the EU was passing laws to make all bananas straight. Not kidding, they printed a genuine full story on the "insanity of the EU" ranting about how all our bananas would have to be grown straight or it would be illegal to sell them.
What they didn't bother to do was confirm any of it, or base any of it on any actual facts. The story was made up by three journalists in a Brussels bar as a joke, to see which papers would fall for it.

All they had to do was make up a story and tell one of their nutty buddies at the Daily Heil and they printed it the very next day - no research, no sources, no facts, no confirmations, just a fantasy from someone taking the p*ss and they totally bought it.

The Daily Heil is good for one thing and one thing only, wiping your backside when you have nothing else available.

It was actually Cucumbers...when i was a kid, cucumbers were curved, like a bow.

How often do you see curved cucumbers in supermarkets these days.

Remember the market stall traders being arrested for weighing in pounds and ounces and not kilo's and grammes as per edict from the EU?

That was as lunatic fringe as straight bananas or cucumbers...yet it still happened.

The daily mail isn't reliable. I'm not suprised that a tabloid like the DM has published such a story. I highly doubt this story is very credible.

I read the daily mail every day online just as a time killer but like you said its unreliable, most stories seem to be made of facts from the first link on google, it makes me chuckle how wrong they are sometimes. They tend to do long stories but state the same sentence several times but with different and clashing info. They also need to employ my 9 yr old daughter to spell check for them

The comments sections are the best tho, people get really retarded in there lol

To be honest, i think the same is true to one degree or another of all the so-called 'newspapers' in existence.

Has been for decades, probably forever. I haven't read any of then for 30 years plus.
