This is what happens when you have marxist socialist central planning.

It happens with a little bit of socialism too obviously because we have a mixed economy. Meantime Cuba has shortage of items like toilet paper occasionally because they do not produce their own. But knock yourself out and move there if that's what you want. At least they have socialized health.... Oh wait a minute all the poor people have to bring their own bed linens. Ever seen those vids of the Cuban clinics from hell where the dead people are still lying there with flies ... But again go for it. Oh yah and don't forget it's your tax dollars that make the UN go round.

They say true socialism works in the smaller countries but not in a place as large as the US. In any case I see now that you imagine we won't run out of other peoples money as long as the Capitalists are still providing the backbone. But wait, what's our national debt now? Don't hold your breath hoping warren Buffett is going to bail out the US govt cause he's nice and wants taxes raised (on the middle class).

That's true of many Latin american countries. Being capitalist and kissing uncle Sam's rear doesn't make much of a difference

I've read that Venezuela surplus has been squandered but gee let's not look at what's really happened. Observe comments by the Washington Post(and others). www.washingtonpost.com... Note they mismanaged the state owned oil company

And what planet are you from if you believe Clinton or Sanders are "Marxist Socialists"? Sanders is BARELY liberal enough to call himself a Socialist and Hillary Clinton is a full blown, hair on fire Corporate capitalist weasel......this kind of shallow understanding of reality is of the same ty'e that attempts to call the NAZI party of the 30's and 40's "socialist". The NAZIs were about as socialist as Fox is fair and balanced.....Clinton is a WALL STREET whore and Sanders would be so marginalized as President, he would be lucky to even get a budget passed, much less any program remotely resembling "socialist". Grow up....get real....this site is too full of B.S. allready without people who don't have the slightest clue as to the reality of things popping off.

No, it gets discussed often. Maybe you should stop and listen instead of always thinking of what to type next and how right only you can be.

a reply to: KeithCooper It's always humorous when
People claim that national socialism isn't really socialist. It's an old myth that Nazi fascism is a right wing ideology. All you have to do is read some of Hitler's own stuff to recognize it as socialist. As for Hillary, yah it takes a village to raise a child is def Marxist. She is Marxist. I would also be interested to know if you think Soros is also a Capitalist Wall Street whore. After all he did work for the Nazis as a youth and uses Wall Street to find his many leftist causes.

I read your reply. Yah I
Missed where you said that. This is a communication issue and it's not because I'm
Typing my own responses. Maybe you could clarify what your own vague responses are for. Perhaps if you stated what exactly happens only in the US.

Americans are usually the only ones that consider fascism left wing but not all americans.

But, that is pretty much the same thing that my earlier post said.

a reply to: daskakik. Oh gee I thought you were telling me I didn't understand that only in the US is fascism considered left wing. Does it matter where? What matters ( and yes I Am right) is that fascism is just part of the same leftist ideology of hegelianism . I refer to the Antony Sutton. But since you're so smart you of all people here know that Marxism is not merely economic but cultural as well. But losing battery power and will
Have to take this up later.

It does matter where because if you were not there you might not think you are so in the right.

ETA: Marxists like the ones who fought against the fascists in WWII? That must make them as american as apple pie.

So just because you are in a different country you think it is right that fascism is Scruggs wing ideology ? I guess if right wing in Venezuela is different from right wing in the us.

Which Marxists fought against fascist in WWII? You mean Russia? Hitker supposedly did not appreciate marx but that does not make him right wing. In any case I would live for you to explain exactly
What in Fascism or Nazism makes it in
Any country at all a right wing ideology. Please be very specific so that I can understand.

Like I said it's been discussed lots of times and Americans who see fascism as left wing do so because they can't accept that right wing governments can be authoritarian.

That is what always happens.

ETA: it's also just an observation and a reason why you might not tally the deaths caused by the fascists on the right but others might.

Mussolini said it was. I mean the socialist in Nazi is enough to swing them one way then that should be enough proof that fascists were right wing.

This is interesting since this would mean that Nazis were not fascists either and neither of them were Marxist.

What are you even talking about? I guess you're also going to act as if the multiple decade long US embargo against Cuba had nothing to with its poverty?

a reply to: ThirdEyeofHorus

Who is "they"? Socialism can work well at any level, as Social Security and Medicare show. Social Security works so well that administrations from both parties would dip into its surplus money for non-related expenses (and placed a cap on how much of someone's income is taxable for it).

Besides, no one's calling for 100% socialism anyway, not even me. And I'm far more socialist that Bernie Sanders (note: the OP specifically calls out Bernie and Hillary Supporters, even though Hillary's a neoliberal capitalist)

a reply to: ThirdEyeofHorus
Huh?

a reply to: ThirdEyeofHorus

Western & Japanese imperialism were directly using capitalism. Don't try to act ignorant of that. Even China's communist revolution was the direct result of the exploitative "Unequal Treaties" that were forced onto China by the West. Surely you know about the 2 Opium Wars and how the West waged them so they could exploit China. And of course, the "Scramble for Africa and its exploitation also caused the multiple African revolutions during WW2 and the Cold War.

a reply to: ThirdEyeofHorus

Re-read what I actually typed in my 1st post. And this time, actually read the links as well. I simply pointed out how socialist programs helped drastically reduce the poverty and extreme poverty there.
