It is not the way. Fogle was sentenced and should be able to live out the sentence without being beaten. That is the job of the guards to stop. A person is sentenced to prison, not to being beaten. No matter what anyone might think of doing to him in their head.

I stand in the middle of you and lysergic. While I agree the guy ought not be beaten or tortured (in prison) I believe that crimes that are non-rehabilitative (like child molestation, heinous murders Ect) should result in a quick death penalty, and crimes that are rehabilitative ought to result in very light sentencing and more constructive sentencing meant to reintegrate not punish.

It did, and there should be order, however in the course of events, it seems, it turned once more upon him, negatively.

No. he will be on a sexual offender list the rest of his life. He will not be able to work around children and need to live so far from a school/daycare/ etc. He will have mandatory counseling and checkins.

When I was 7, the 18 year old son of religious apartment owners in the apartment complex I lived in, put his hand down my bathing suit and attempted to push up against me. In a pool. I did work myself away from him. I remember this as unpleasant. I complained about it. No one called police, I am not sure why. My mother spoke to his parents. He didn't live there long after that. I understand that what Fogle did was more. However, he has been imprisoned.
That is what we do, we imprison those that break the law. We do not beat them.

Yeah but it's not like the legal system was like OKAY GUYS GREEN LIGHT ON FOGLE.

It was the actions of one person. Who now has consequences to deal with, all while this awesome justice system makes $$$ all day.

It's a very common misconception. Forgivable

Most Pedophiles never harm a child, many actively seek therapy, and I know of several whom have voluntarily undergone chemical castration. From my research, most pedophiles love children at an emotional level far greater, or even exclusively compared to a sexual desire for children. That's simply how they were 'wired'.

I think there is a definite difference. One has taken video of a child and placed it on the internet in an attempt to make money or gain satisfaction. The viewers are criminals, but not at the same level. They download the content and it is a felony.

The producers of such will face multiple felonies.

I completely agree. There is little difference between the physical abuse of a child, and the exploitation of one through pornography.

But once again, it would be irresponsible, perhaps simply ignorant, to claim that "all pedophiles look at child porn", which certainly is not the case.

Pedophilia is merely the attraction of children at an emotional and/or sexual level. Nothing more. You do not have to molest a child to be a pedophile, you do not have to look at child porn to be a pedophile, all that Pedophilia is defined as is an attraction to children at an emotion and/or sexual level.

Barely half of child molestation cases are committed by Pedophiles, and I suspect that number is greatly fraudulent as is. But, even if it isn't, think about that phrase for a moment: Barely Half Of All Cases...

One who has tendencies and dabbles with such stuff only on the internet, studies have shown, often take it to the next level.

I am not following. The man was imprisoned. He becomes a ward of the state. If he is injured during, the state has failed in their custody.
