Hi there. New but not really new. Been reading on and off since 2008 or so.
I remember a different format though . There used to be avatars and stats under people's names. Now it's just that androgynous silhouette.or is it my device. In another thread any links were coming through as PDF files when I clicked on it. Maybe I need to find an android version ???
Look at me sounding like I'm all tech savvy and stuff. I'm not. No state secret there lol.

I'm retired. I used to be an interior decorator. I'm interested in the decorative arts and architecture. Particularly historical architecture.

If you go to the forums section and find Freshman Forums it will help you learn how to upload avatars etc.

I'm not getting avatars. I checked allow under account settings. I also changed the text and background color for the stats box but only the text color changed.

Welcome to ATS. Like someone said, there are still avatars and stats visible. Maybe not to non members. I wouldn't know because I never sign out and look lol.

As an interior decorator, how would you respond to a client that saught to recreate a Klingon bridge in their unfinished basement?
I'm married ,55, Cav vet,artist,Idependent voter(Some here think Republican)...weird,mean and I don't know IF any difference is made but I vehemently defend my beliefs.

Klingon bridge? In a basement you say? Well the natural light would be right. There are a lot of grays and browns in that scheme. But will you be happy long term? Not that Klingon can't also be classic. Is that old Klingon where they are the enemies or new Klingon where we operate on a system of mutual trust. ( not too much like Russia and US relations huh?)
Anyway there won't be much cush or softness but I'm guessing you're ok with that. Lol.
